I wanted to get my hair cut at a nice salon so I thought I would go to Alexanders Salon bc of the great reviews. Crystal Q cut my hair. The conversation was incredibly personal and awkward but she seemed nice so I just let it go even though i was uncomfortable. It took over two hours to cut my hair. All I wanted was a shampoo and trim. I asked for small layers and between the top and bottom layer was almost 6inches. I took me FOREVER to grow my hair long and she ruined it. Along with the horrible layering job, she cut a section in the middle of my hair SUPER short. She admitted that she missed up but said that it was nothing and no one would notice. As soon as she was done, I just wanted to get out of there. A week later my cousin (who lives in San Diego and is also a hairdresser) looked at my hair and was absolutely mortified. She said it was the worst hair cut she has ever seen and that I would have to cut my hair up to the top layer to correct it. I cried. I called the store owner to tell her my experience. I asked for nothing in return but that I just wanted her to know what happened. It took her over a week to get back to me. After I connect with her, I told her that I would email her the pictures of the hair cut. I waited over a week for her reply and when I didnt hear anything I started called the salon again. She told me that she has talked to Crystal and that Crystal said MY HAIR WAS ALREADY LIKE THAT AND SHE WAS TRYING TO HELP ME! She lied!! and then the manager told me on top of the bad hair cut SHE OVER CHARGED ME as well!!!!! i bet she pocketed the money! The manger said that she didnt know who to believe and offered me a free hair cut. I explained to her that I just got my hair correct and was very hesistant to go back. She didnt offer me my money back OR even offer the difference of what Crystal told me. Crystal is still working there. I was not going to write her name but it wouldnt be fair to the other girls who work there who might actually know how to cut hair. I thought this was a nice salon but not if they employee people like Crystal there who lie and have no idea how to cut hair.

I went to this salon for about 12 years. Peter Barton was my colorist. He used to talk about my friends and keep me entertained while he did a great job on my highlights.Ive always found him unprofessional, in the way he speaks of other clients, the way he pulls my hair out after washing (I stopped letting him brush me out years ago and ask his assistants to do), the way he speaks to his assistants (demands and speaks down to), and the way he has handled a last minute reschedule (not understanding, compassionate, open, and uses unprofessional language).I dont like to make people lose their jobs so instead of going to management I told him how I felt about his unprofessional behavior and lack of consideration for others. When I told him I will go to another stylist he accused me of being rude. One week later I call to see what time my appointment is and they tell me I am not allowed to go to the salon because Peter Barton is my stylist and he doesnt want me to see another stylist.Owner AL Perez said he didnt want any retaliation from Peter so he personally will not see me. Stated Peter is your stylist. I explained I am not property and will not be treated as such. He said nobody will work with me because Peter has forbidden it. I guess Peter Barton runs he salon because the oweners are afraid of him.I am leaving the country soon and have no recourse for finding another appointment at now 6:22 PM on a Fri in a storm before my vacation. This salon prefers to keep its unprofessional team member (because hes been here 22 years and I dont want any trouble), Peter, than to honor their client of 12 years. Also Peter badmouthed the owner so badly I wont provide details here.

I usually order braiding hair on Amazon because Sally's doesn't carry the kind I like and I could not find it anywhere else. I needed hair for an appointment tomorrow though and didn't have time to order it online so I found this place on Google. I'm so glad I did. They have the hair I like (and soooo much more) in a pack 3x bulkier than what I get on Amazon for a better price. I totally recommend this place. The location is really convenient too, right off the freeway.

Tiffany Scott hair extensions Claim that they cause no damage to hair with these extensions... not true in my case !! I wish I didnt believe the posts in the videos of hair becoming healthy with Tiffany Scott hair extensions!! Lies, my hair has been the worst health and my hair color is not even platinum!! Vania told me she could get me platinum like my old pictures, all lies. She corrected it it was better but its not what I intended to pay for that level of work. I think I paid 325 or 350 for a partial highlights that did nothing for my hair color. I wanted to go platinum. That was not achieved. She corrected it but it wasnt what I wanted overall it was just better than what she did. When I had my haircut I just reviewed recently it was horrendous I lost more than half my hair. It was terrifying I will never go back to the salon. I spent $1600 for something I thought was going to be beautiful it did not look like any of Instagram pictures. My scalp hurts Barry port placement of hair extension. Way too high up I could not even wear my hair up and I was getting Comments at work from people saying my taps are showing because they could see my extensions.. when youpay almost $2000 and people are saying that thats embarrassing!!Whats worse was she didnt give me an itemized receipt until I asked her about the charges and she charged me for a blending haircut 125 she spent less than 10 seconds cutting the edges inside literally as part of the install she told me she did refund me but that is very shady. She spent a total of less than two hours to get me platinum or highlights and install.. I was your only client on a Saturday which was suspicious for a good hairstylist. So shes been less than two hours for everything when she claims she spends a lot of time on install it was not customize it was very fast I spent a lot

The hairdresser is excellent the owner is very friendly however the third visit have different receptionist not the same friendly one. maybe because I am Asian and not from here he was very rude. When I pay with cash straight away he checked my money to make sure they were real. It was harshed, I am not from here my boy friend who currently works here always wants to pay for everything with cash as the conversion using card from my country is a lot he prefer to pay with US dollars. It is okay if it was a common thing they do here, it just him very Rude person and how he does it.Just don't like Asian I guess or dark skin !!!What a shame because the ladies are nice !!!

I had to delete my review and repost it because the response from the owner is a lie and consumers need to be properly informed.1. I made the biggest mistake of my life getting a lash lift here! My lashes were ruined by this salon and ONLY this salon. I came into the salon crying on March 14th and spoke with Ashlynn who did my lash lift. She said it was normal. Wanted me to do another lash lift. I refused. She said give it 2 more weeks. 2 weeks go by and they were still bad. I called the salon and Ashlynn dismissed me again. I left my first bad review after 6 weeks. Owner finally reached out and ASKED ME TO REMOVE MY REVIEW. Which I did because she said she wanted to help me.2. When I went into the salon for “help”. My lashes were really bad on one eye. They were crimped, curled back too far and crisscrossed. I could not even wear mascara. Carla examined my lashes and took photos of them. She confirmed and told me my lashes were OVERPROCESSED and it was the tech Ashlynn who caused this. She did say they were not damaged. Thankfully. So for the owner to respond to my previous review saying she had “no control of what happens 4 weeks out and that I would have noticed damage after 24 hrs” is completely out of line. Go look online there is enough information stating that bad lash lifts are a result of lashes being overprocessed and that issues can arise anywhere from 3-4 weeks after the lift has been done. I did everything right within those first 24 hrs ( no water, no steam, no oil/ waterproof mascara and only water-based aka mineral mascara) and even weeks up until noticed I had a serious issue. Harini, would you like to share the photos of my lashes that Carla took? Would you like to let the people know how you didn't like the way the tech Ashlynn didn't tell you about what happened to me and her unprofessionalism?3. The lash extensions that they offered to put on me were the classic ones. Owner says they are worth $200.00. First of all, Looking at other salons in the local area classics do not cost that much. Carla was trying to charge me for them. When I asked her how much they were she told me they were $106.00. I said I had already spent money on the lash lift, $85 + tip, then a lash serum $100 and heated lash curler $40. Then she said she would do them for free. The lash serum and lash curler were suggested by Ashlynn on MARCH 14th. THe lash serum I purchased is SAFE for lash extensions/ lifts. Not once did they even offer to refund the cost of the lash lift.4. The lash extensions looked good for a few days but were falling out within a week and also the eye with overprocessed lashes looked terrible. The lash extensions were going in every which way no matter how much they were brushed. I had them professionally removed a little over a week after having them on. Please note that the tech who removed my extensions said that LASH LOUNGE should have never put extensions on my already overprocessed lashes. This damaged them even further because the lashes were so weak. LASH LOUNGE never once informed me that the lash extensions were not a good idea moving forward. This salon was just hoping it would COVER UP MY BOTCHED LASHES and “make me happy”.5. Also the owner said I went to another salon and had a lash lift and I complained about them to. I absolutely refused a second lash lift offered Ashlynn who performed my lash lift at LASH LOUNGE. I did not want to risk the chance of further damaging my lashes so why the hec would I go to another salon and have a lash lift done!?! Harini, where is this “bad review” I left the other salon?6. Go back and look at other reviews where the owner responds. She holds no accountability for her business and the techs who perform the lash lifts or extensions. She places all the blame on her customers. Who wants to go to salon where you will be treated like this? Also, I want to highlight that this business owner requests that consumers REMOVE THEIR BAD REVIEWS. So this salon looks really good online but really it's because she's forcing consumers to remove their reviews.

I graduated from SSA April 2024. The hostility I endured was inexplicable. Ms. Melissa was the best teacher we ever had with 10+ years experience. She was terminated half way through the program. Never explained to us what had happened but we all knew it was out of spite. Starting our program we had Ms.Nunez, known as our campus director for the night students. She was our basic skin teacher although she is a licensed cosmo. We complained since she wasn't a good teacher and relied heavily on the premade slideshows from former instructors. After that, she had it out for our class. She was rude to Ms. Melissa constantly, rude to fellow teachers & students. There are so many horror stories that aren't mine to share but have been brought up to higher up's about her behavior and unreasonable treatments towards students. Nothing was ever brought forth and she remains as devious as ever. Ms. Jess was our second teacher who was hired with only a couple years of experience as mainly a waxer. Asking her questions about how to use our more advanced modalities, she would have to look it up on her phone. She was always threatening us with punishments even if it was a first warning of something we did. Nunez & Jess both treated us like we were in preschool. They always craved respect when none was ever shown to us in the slightest. Towards the end of my program, I was genuinely depressed about going to school. I knew going would result in another incident. It turned into us not even being able to practice services unless we had clients. She wanted us to focus on state board and state board only. Studying was very important but after graduation, we would have all the time in the world to study. Now was the time to take advantage of all our equipment we would no longer have after we left. Counting the days to graduate the program I was once so excited for was devastating. Seeing how teachers were so held down by her was awful. Seeing how classmates after me were confided into our small library to strictly study and nothing more knowing this isn't what we signed up for. For as much as we paid, we deserved to have fun and enjoy our time. I would never recommend this school to anyone in the future and my success was due to ME. I stucked it up, took the anger and used it to make me stronger. I hope someone finally steps in and gets her out of there.

Update I've been a loyal customer for a year & some months & I get a fill weekely religiously & birthed my 7th child 5/30/2019 since then I've had some unforeseen things come up & had to cancel 3 of my appointments with communication to Salena Lashes . I called today to see if I can come in 8/14/19 or 8/15/19 wanting to get serviced sooner before 8/17/19 Arron informed me that he was told I can no longer receive service per Salena who is the owner. With no explanation or reason keep in mind I have a service appointment 8/17/19 & in my mind when was I going to be notified of such. So it's not okay for me to cancel a appointment with given notice but it's okay to get a courtesy call from Salena Lashes informing me that they had some cancelations & want to know if I could possibly come in sooner ?.. in some cases I agreed because I wasn't doing anything. Salena I get your running a business but you should value quality customers NOT quantity customers & it's only one sided keep that in mind for your value customers you don't offer any incecntices giving back ex:punch cards for so many services receive any loyalty discounts Birthday appreciation with Valid proof~nothing your only concerned about racking in the coins & meeting a financial demand on your end. You ever asked yourself let me call & just inquire how my customers are doing we're all human & experience things however I'm not just any type of customer yours... you know me BUSINESS owner to Business owner. I've sent a lot of customers your way & im speaking for all of your loyal customers it is us who keep your doors open love. It's us who referr others to you.. it's us who will help you open your future location keep that in mind when you just abruptly cut a loyal customer off. I also have a store front & would never do what you did or handle the situation like you did. You have a awesome group of employees who makes your location successful as well & have nothing but positive things to say about your staff but I'm scratching my head about you. Always remember never forget what it took to get you where you are. Make the money don't let the money make you. Stay true Salena Lashes....

I had the best experience with Emily!  She microbladed my eyebrows. They look just as great as they did when she first did them several years ago!  I felt very comfortable and safe letting Emily transform my brows.  I'm very particular about who I let do anything to my face and I trusted her completely. They look so natural, even, and full. She does  a great job selecting just the right color. Having them done has saved me so much time in the morning. I usually spend 10 min just trying to make them look even, as one eyebrow is shorter than the other.   Emily made the experience very comfortable. She was meticulous in measuring my eyes and face to ensure symmetry. I hate pain and this procedure did not hurt. You will not regret having your eyebrows done by Emily!

Tried the brow bar for the first time. Not a good experience. I wanted threading and the girl, started off by saying she had no experience with threading and she was trying to get me to do wax. I told her I prefer threading. She took her time and I did not see much difference because she did tweezing. I could have done that myself. She than charged me $30 for the service full price for a service she didnt know how to do is not right. If your in training your prices should not be full priceI went to the salon another time all I wanted was a quick trim nothing special my hair is already short I just needed it fixed.i was still on time the lady was almost done with her client and she heard me telling the receptionist I was willing to wait and make it quick she heard me I could have told her myself. The receptionist went to ask her and they were whispering at each other the stylist looks at me up and down and receptionist comes back and says no she wont help me.Bad experience overall here. Nothing what Ultas customer standards should be. Little no staff and no walk-ins available for any service. Makes me think they judge you by your appearance its like you come dressed with makeup for them to provide you proper serviceDont judge a book by its cover you never know who your dealing with. Ulta staff should be trained to keep that in mind.
