Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration
1 Mississippi St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States
Im very happy with my experience with Dr Manu Gujrati at Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration in San Francisco. My hair began to noticeably thin in 2020, and I began heavily researching hair restoration clinics in California. I was willing to spend extra to guarantee good treatment and have no regrets about my choice later. I felt confident choosing Parsa Mohebi hair restoration.Dr Gujrati and his staff were very helpful and responsive. During my consultation, he explained his FUE technique well and provided me with other options before I pursued surgery. I personally chose surgery due to previous side effects of medications. The surgery was excellent, and they were extremely attentive to my comfort and the procedure itself. He was responsive to my feedback throughout the session. My procedure took around 4-5 hours. There was a very high attention to detail to my comfort, and my hair during the procedure. I'm very glad I went with Dr Gujrati at Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration, and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a high attention to detail in any hair restoration.

Dr. Diep is an artist. As someone whose hair was a trademark throughout high school and college, when I started to thin, I knew I needed a solution tailored specifically for me. Trendy Hair Gallery & Beauty Supply
925 Howard St, San Francisco, CA 94103, United States
Can't recommend this unique; beyond accommodating, honest, knowledgeable, judgement free business enough! The incredible humans that have patiently helped me 2 or 3 times now when everything else was closed, and mind you I got there as they were about to close and they were so polite! Helped me with what I needed, recommended quality hair that would have cost me double what I have paid in the past at basically every other beauty supply store in the Bay Area. They even install wigs and extensions! Huge selection…phenomenal business that you can tell have repeat customers for life, I know because everytime I'm there they are doing stunning work on their clients that they treat like family. I'm proud to say this is me now to! They are the best!!!!!! Thank you for accommodating me with no judgement and I'm in love with the wigs you helped me pick out the other day!! I will post pics soon and will be making an appointment in the next week or so for extensions! Don't look no further, this place has it all and more!!???

Hair Doc Peter Panagotacos, MD
2001 Union St #520, San Francisco, CA 94123, United States
I don't understand how this man is a doctor honestly. Please don't go here. When the doctor got into the room, he didn't look at me or introduce himself, he literally just said “show me what's going on” and poked my hairline with his pen. He didn't look over my chart and started prescribing me medication that he didn't explain to me, even going as far as to apply something on my head without telling me what it was or getting my consent to do so. I'm very sensitive to a lot of products and my scalp started burning immediately and I got a headache. He didn't ask me my goals, questions, anything. Just filled out his prescription pad with little information about my health or anything, despite filling out a physical health history form once I got there. The conversation was maybe two minutes and then he swept me to the front counter to ring me up for products that I didn't agree to or even know about. I had to firmly tell the counter person that I have other consults elsewhere and I'm just seeing my options. I definitely wouldn't recommend going here after that. After I got home I looked up other reviews of his office and many of them were the same experience as mine. A waste of time.

Berman Skin Institute Medical & Cosmetic Dermat...
1 Daniel Burnham Ct #350c, San Francisco, CA 94109, United States
The Berman Skin Institute San Francisco Office is getting one star because Yelp doesnt allow 0 stars. The Berman Skin Institute has given me the worst possible experience Ive ever had. On my first visit, I came in for a general check-up, and the entire time the doctor just tried to sell me on botox and laser hair removal and then forced me into scheduling my next check-up in the new year. A few months later I went back to Berman Skin Institute for an alternate health reason, but went to a new doctor, hoping they would be better. This new doctor was equally awful. She didnt give me any helpful information, didnt listen to the explanations/information I gave, and made me repeat the problem I was having multiple times. Eventually, I was told there was nothing they could do to help me at that time, and was sent home. I returned after my issue got worse and, eventually, they agreed to do a skin biopsy. I was told the results of my biopsy would come in 10-14 days however, after 14 days, I had heard nothing of my results. After 14 days I began calling them to see if I could get any updates, but all I got was that they would look into it, and never got a callback. On my 4th call, I was finally able to get my results, in which no helpful information was disclosed. However, I was told that since the issue had gone away (in the two months it took for this process to come to a close) everything was fine. To close this out, I have received a bill from the pathology lab they sent the biopsy to, which is normal, however, they sent it under the wrong insurance, insurance I havent had in half a year. I called Berman Skin Institute to correct this, and their billing department told me that they dont know how this mistake happened because they had noted my change in insurance and it must have been something I did for them to charge the wrong one. To correct their error, I had to call the lab to get my insurance sorted out. Please, no one go here. This is a horribly run office with doctors that are just looking to make money and dont care about their patients.

Sola Salons Downtown San Francisco
660 Market St 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94104, United States
I absolutely loved what Cheyenne did to to my hair today. He uses organic and gentle products and the color and shine came out top notch without killing my hair. I have super fine hair and making it look like anything cute/nice is not easy. He did and he truly enjoys what he does. He is also very clear about what he will do before cutting :). His salon is very cozy and pretty decorated. I loved the plants and art. Go see him, is a real gem and will make you look and feel incredible.

Pacific Plastic Surgery Group Dr. Edward P. Mir...
77 Van Ness Ave APT 302, San Francisco, CA 94102, United States
I had visited with several plastic surgeons before finalizing with Dr. Miranda. Why did I pick Dr. Miranda for my hernia and abdominal repair? The entire team at PPSG is phenomenal. It is easy to see why they would be the obvious choice. Every single team member is on top of their game. I initially met with Vanessa as I started to explore options for my hernia repair. She went above and beyond to answer all of my questions promptly and comprehensively. She also jumped through many hoops to get my insurance to cover portions of my surgery which they initially denied.Dr. Miranda is the leading plastic surgeon in SF with rave reviews all over the internet. I had to meet him, of course. After meeting him, he was very thorough and informative about what to expect with the surgery. I am now 18 days post-op and can say that Dr. Miranda is an artist and my hero. He fixed me and I will forever be grateful for my beautiful results. Everything he communicated to me pre-surgery is exactly as it has worked out. He is straight to the point and of course extremely knowledgeable in his field. He is also honest. It also is worth it to note that Dr. Miranda is well-connected with other surgeons at CPMC- so it makes things very easy and I felt very supported.Charis, Dr. Mirandas PA, came to check on me every day post op and she was patient with all my questions and had a great bedside manner. I encountered some follow-up items post-surgery and the entire team at PPSG has been all hands on deck and very patient.P.S. The entire staff at PPSG happens to be gorgeous. Being a part of this entire operation - (no pun intended)- felt pretty gangster- a bit out of a movie. All jokes aside, I am incredibly grateful and feel blessed to have had the resources and ability to work with PPSG.P.S.S. Don't extensively research and buy unnecessary things. I bought a toilet seat riser, a recliner, an abdominal recovery seatbelt, a 4 piece orthopedic bed, and all sorts of other nonsense. I didn't need any of it. Every surgeons post op instructions are different and I found Dr. Miranda's to be far more realistic than the ones I read from other surgeons online. The only thing I recommend : compression stockings and walking as early as you possibly can post surgery and as often as you can after surgery to prevent blood clots. Thanks for reading my review. Hope you have a great surgery and recovery experience with Dr. Miranda and dream team.

Scalp Society SF - Scalp Micropigmentation Bay ...
1512 Pine St, San Francisco, CA 94109, United States
I came across Scalp society while online searching for micro scalp pigmentation in the Bay Area. It took me a good few months to convince myself to call and inquire about the process and reading about benefits / concerns I had. The receptionist made it very easy and was genuine and caring in her delivery. Something like this can be extremely nerve racking. She set me up for a consultation in which I met Quyen who would eventually be my technician for my procedure.Fast forward a few weeks and I'm driving up to SF for my appointment. I arrived and immediately clicked with Quyen who was able to talk my nerves down and outline the process. Gave me a few details about what to expect for the next 3.5 hours. He really makes you feel comfortable, builds that trust as your technician and genuinely wants to help clients not only feel better about themselves but also takes it slow enough that you're really feeling that lost confidence come back. We set up the hairline outline, talked through my concerns and then the rest was just slightly painful but manageable to get through. He explained the difference between tattooing vs micropigmentation. Also clearly communicated aftercare process. The spot is centrally located in middle of city with decent amount of paid parking around. Inside the spot is nicely set up and really gives the shop this really modern style. Awesome big screen TV and Netflix to help take your mind off the process a little.I'm on my 2nd appt currently with one more left. I'm excited to be wrapping this up and to see what next lil adventure I can take and rock my new look.A big shout out and THANK YOU to Quyen and for his time and energy to help me come into this next chapter for me. You've really helped change my life for the good and I'm extremely grateful.-Antonio

California Skin Institute - MarinaCow Hollow
2001 Union St, San Francisco, CA 94123, United States
(A longer story but youll understand what youre in for if you go here)Things that went well: The front desk staff is great and works with your schedule pretty well. Very polite, very kind.Things that didnt work well: Everything else. My wife went to Dr. Panagotacos and referred me. I went in and he seemed annoyed from the moment he walked into the exam room. I asked a few questions to better understand my problem. He answered them with one or two word answers and told me to just do what he said. I simply said that I was trying to understand better, he wrote a prescription for medicines that made my condition worse. When I went back the second time he was much friendlier but gave me about 3 minutes worth of care while I waited for him to arrive 25 minutes late for my appointment. After trying the new medication, it irritated my thumb and caused the nail to become ingrown. I called to get an appointment to take care of it. Dr. Panagotacos was in Greece for 3 weeks so I got his office associate, Dr. Ellison. In hopes of getting the problem fixed, I went in. After voicing my concern about the ingrown thumb nail, Dr. Ellison carelessly glanced at it and said it wasnt ingrown and that it was an infection from the medicine I put on it before...the medicine they prescribed. I said, I know Im not a doctor but it definitely feels ingrown and is very painful with the slightest touch; can you cut it out or fix it somehow? Or at least take a longer examination of the nail. He took a second look that lasted about as long as youd look at the sun through binoculars, said it wasnt ingrown and prescribed me more medicine. I was asking him questions while he ushered me to the front desk to schedule yet another appointment with him to check the progress in a few weeks. It was at this point during my questions, he noticed an attractive girl in her 20s sitting in the lobby, filling out the office questionnaire. He looked at his appointment calendar, back at her, at his watch, back at her and then left without answering my question. The next day, pain increasing to the point of tears, I went to patient first. They diagnosed the problem and told me that I should see my dermatologist to remove it. When I told him that the doctor said it wasnt ingrown he said he felt sorry but I may need to remove the nail myself since patient first doesnt do that. Nor do I expect them to, but at least he cared and gave me instructions on how to make it better. So, I spent 45 minutes on a Sunday soaking my finger in hot water and gradually lifting my nail with tweezers and cutting through my nail bed and nail matrix before ratcheting the nail off and pulling it from inside the tip of my thumb. Does that sound awful and painful? It was almost as bad as the practices of Panagotacos and Ellison. When I called to ask them to waive my $40 co-pay since I did all the work myself, without anesthetic mind you, their Castro office told me thats how the doctor treats it, with only an antibiotic. I said, That is beneficial but only if you also remove the foreign object thats causing the infection, otherwise it continues to cause pain and infection. They angrily said theyd waive the charge and hung up on me.You may have a better experience but I would avoid it unless its your last resort.

California Skin Institute
3838 California St #610, San Francisco, CA 94118, United States
I had my first and last appointment with this company after receiving “care” from Peter Chansky. He has a Horrible, Antagonistic attitude. So Egotistical. I visited his office already having a diagnosis of my skin disease, as I have been getting treatment for this issue for over a decade. I expressed that I was hoping to try something different than what I've tried the past 10 years. I told him that my skin disease had been plaguing my hairline, eye brows, glabella, the sides of my nose, and the center of my chest. He ignored all that, then spent the entire appointment playing in my hair, looking through my scalp, offering treatment for my scalp. I never mentioned issues with my scalp! Was he even listening?? No care for the customer. No efforts to provide relief. I felt like an item on a conveyer belt on a factory line. They only schedule 15 minute appointments; in and out; NEXT. Guess I was too human for him. He became apparently upset and offended when I attempted to provide medical history that could've helped inform our treatment plan. I kept telling him that I had already unsuccessfully tried the treatment plan he was trying to push on me. He argued me up and down that I haven't used the products (which I've used for over a decade) at the frequency he was going to prescribe them. I told him repeatedly that I had, and wanted to try something different. But he was hell bent on treating me like a first time visitor at a dermatology office. He proceeded going on about his “professional opinion” as if I had accused him of not being educated. Then with the nastiest antagonistic attitude he aggressively asked me, “what can I do for you sir?” I couldn't understand how me providing my medical history irked him so much. Again, all I did was try to help him, help me, by providing information that could help us not waste time trying things I already tried. Guess he wanted to milk as many wasted paid visits and prescriptions out of me as he could. In his “professional opinion”. A “professional doctor” wouldn't throw a tantrum like he had. So Immature. Had no skills in deescalating the tension HE created! You can tell he was one of those folks who feel they are always right and refuse to hear another person's reality if it conflicts with theirs. Then to add insult to injury he asked me if I been tested for HIV right after drawing my blood. Mind you that question was already asked and answered in my intake form. Him asking the question at that moment came off as just more antagonism. He wanted me to feel as insecure as he feels inside. Then proceeded to give me the silent treatment and ignored any further questions I asked for the duration of the appointment. UNPROFESSIONAL!I thought a patient/doctor appointment was supposed to be about the patient. But it was made abundantly clear that my appointment wasn't about me at all; it was totally about serving Peter Chansky's fragile ego. Do better dude. 0/5 Would not recommend.
