Hair Maiden India
1554 S Sepulveda Blvd # 106, Los Angeles, CA 90025, United States
I purchased 3 bundles of their 22” kinky curly hair. Issue #1 i placed the order on 10/6 and a week later still had not received any tracking info so I emailed them and was told 10/12 being a holiday slowed them down? well what about all the days before 10/12...but no biggie atleast its coming. Finally the hair was delivered on 10/19. To my disappointment the hair was not only EXTREMELY thin on the ends and with splits causing me to have to cut atleast 4” inches off (and should have cut more) BUT when i flat ironed half of one weft strands of melted hair were left on my flat iron. The smell of chemical was so strong i just gave up. Now i realize things happen so before leaving this review i called to try and get to a resolution on 11/4 and was told my information would be forwarded to Rocky the owner. I did not get a call back so I sent an email about the ends and of my concerns of possible synthetic blend in my bundles as thats a #1 indicator yet their website advertises 100% human hair. Rocky emailed back same day 11/5 letting me know that they dont use synthetic hair and split ends are common with human hair and to give him my information so that we could talk and asked when he could call. I immediately responded that i was free then and again no call.(update this review was left on 11/9 he called 11/10) Human hair definitely can have split ends but the level of split i received is unacceptable. And if its not a synthetic blend then idk what other explanation there is but either way its not ok. I would have even felt a little better if the customer service was up to par and they attempted to resolve the issue(update: refund in full was given took about 2 weeks to process). All this to say sis dont waste your time on the kinky curly hair cant speak for the rest.?Update: 2/13/21I received several emails asking me to remove my review as it is hurting their business. While im not here to hurt a business especially during covid; i am also not here for companies only leaving the positive reviews. Consumers need to be aware of the good and bad of a company so they can make a sound decision to spend their hard earned money. I will however give them 2 stars oppose to 1 for them refunding w/o issue once I was finally contacted.

His & Her Hair Goods Co.
5525 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036, United States
I have been a long-standing patron of His & Hers for over three decades. I regularly purchase their premium hand-tied hair bundles, each costing close to $500 for a set of eight pieces. Several months ago, I acquired two bundles of hair, and to my disappointment, the quality was subpar. The hair, instead of the expected off-black shade, had a reddish-brown hue, and its texture resembled wire. During the weaving process, my experienced beautician observed tangling issues when removing the hair from its packaging, and the hair proved difficult to comb once integrated into my weave. My beautician, with over 35 years of experience, expressed skepticism about the hair being 100% human or suspecting it contained numerous additives. When I contacted His & Hers to voice my concerns, their response was dismissive, attributing the hairs poor quality to the practices of those whose hair it was sourced from, implying that perms had damaged it. This explanation is unsatisfactory for two primary reasons: first, His & Hers charges exorbitant prices, exceeding $500 for hand-tied bundles, and second, it is essential to uphold American advertising standards, which prohibit the sale of products that do not meet promised quality and standards. Blaming overseas practices for this issue is unacceptable. His & Hers failed to offer any form of refund or alternative resolution, only insisting that overseas individuals damage their hair by seeking to emulate American styles. If this is genuinely the case, His & Hers should cease acquiring damaged hair and marketing it as high-quality. I am now contemplating sending a sample of the hair to a laboratory for testing to verify if it is indeed 100% human hair because it neither appears nor feels like the high-quality hair I previously received from His & Hers. When wet, the hair takes on a wire-like texture, raising suspicions that it may contain synthetic components.I have attached a photograph of the purchased hair to illustrate the reddish-brown hue it displays, despite being advertised as off-black. The hair exhibits qualities such as brittleness, tangling, and shedding that are inconsistent with genuine human hair. This situation is truly disheartening. I will keep you informed about the results of the hair testing.Could anyone kindly provide recommendations for reputable sources of high-quality hair products?

House of Hair
3244 W Slauson Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90043, United States
Do not do business here. I placed an order with them a week ago online and I contacted them three times via email and I called them numerous times and I have yet to get a response about where my order is and when it's gonna be shipped. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I am waiting for a response from the business. Do not purchase items from this business, boycott this business for fraudulent practices and false advertisement.Update: This business decided to finally reach out after I left a honest review on how they are conducting business, but couldn't answer my emails or return my phone calls. They sent me an email stating they were only out of two items, and that they will be shipping off the rest. Then I get another email stating oh actually we're out of the other items and out of stock of everything and we will be releasing a refund. This business has terrible communication and doesn't even know their own inventory.

I absolutely love this place! Kassandra Lee is my Stylist and Colorist and has been for some time now. I adore her! Absolutely amazing! Its always clean and comfortable, especially during COVID. The service is great and everyone is very attentive at answering any and all questions! This is especially important if youre looking to get something bold done. They make sure youre comfortable with the end result and especially during the appointment. They go all out for their clients! Definitely recommend going here and most definitely recommend going to Kassandra! She has a ton of experience and is always refining her skills. Super professional, I love her!!!As for prices, you pay for the experience, professionalism, and confidence that youre going to like what you get. And if at some point you notice something youre not happy with, theyre great at offering solutions so you are happy with it. Logunova Beauty Salon
607 S Olive St, Los Angeles, CA 90014, United States
I've never had such a wonderful experience from start to finish at a salon. Especially as a walk in.I was greeted by the smile of Rita immediately. She was so helpful and kind as a walk in. I originally wanted to see if they had anyone for a pedicure, just curious, as we knew it was probably too late, and it was. However, my husband wanted me to ask about getting my hair done as a valentines present from him.So, I told her that it was basically a difficult job as I had a friend and I try to dye it pink and messed it up - so knew I was going to see a large quote. She showed me the menu and calculated my estimate. She told me to come tomorrow in the afternoon at any time so I can talk to Polina, the owner and the woman who would be taking care of me. That all sounded great to us, so we went home a few blocks away. The next day I was greeted again by the very sweet Rita. She introduced me to Polina and Victoria and as I told them about the calamity that was my hair, all three women were confident that they could fix it up and I immediately felt like I was in great hands. They got to work fast. And I mean I felt like a queen! The salon had a lovely little open bar and of course this is the perfect time to order a champagne! As the blue aching time passed, it was indeed getting late. But I had the owner, herself, finishing up my hair until the late evening. She and Victoria worked their butts off, I was totally impressed and not used to this level of service in Los Angeles, where as a transplant I had gotten used subpar, lazy and often deceitful service. This salon is none of those things. By the time they were finished with my color my hair was so soft, it smelled amazing, it was hot pink, it had depth. Did I mention it didn't smell like a megaton of chemicals? I didn't even know that was possible. I thought when we got our hair done we went home put our head on our pillow and reeked of chemicals until a couple washings. It was late in the evening with Polina, so we decided to blow it out and have a hair cut the following day. It was a holiday, after all, Polina is running a family business, so her young children were here at work with her and you could hear little bits of their laughter as they played in another room. Very sweet!By the time I came in for the third day, it felt like coming in to see my girlfriends. I said hello to a now blue haired Rita, we compared hair colors, blue and pink, how cool do we look? Then I sat in a comfy chair again while Polina cut away the perfect style for my face shape while I told her my goal of having silver hair, she said: ‘oh I can do that' I had no doubts she could.I really enjoyed my time there. I could go on about how pristine and state of the art the salon was, that it offered every service, that it was impeccably clean and sparkly… but I most enjoyed my experience with each and every person who worked there. They really made the salon feel like it was truly sterling in every way.Thank you guys so much! With love from a new customer,M

Rave Beauty Bar
13197 Gladstone Ave, Los Angeles, CA 91342, United States
I feel like the only way this place has good reviews is because they ask you to do it right at check out and even hand you a card to scan to take you right to google - maybe thinking if you are doing it right there in front of them you will feel pressured for a good review. I don't necessarily like posting negative reviews but felt I should share. I will just stick to the facts - I didn't have crazy expectations and I'm not really hard to please - but the haircut I went in for was embarrassing. I didn't go in for anything cray - a haircut on longish straight hair with some basic face framing layers in the front. The end result had the bottom back with blunt, choppy and uneven all around. The layers were choppy, uneven, not blended - you know those videos of young girls cutting their own bangs???? Well that was my whole cut all around. To top it off it felt like straw from whatever products they use which don't seem like professional products. They also charged me 85 for the cut which is the same or even more than I have paid in high end nice salons. To add to this - the stylists station looked dirty - ick! I am now going to immediately have to find a place and spend yet another 80–100 to have my hair fixed because it was so bad I can't let it go like this it's so uneven. Lesson learned on my part I guess! Also - not to sound snobby or anything but normally when I go to a salon the girls are friendly - no one looked in my direction except my stylist - they don't offer coffee or water - didn't ask me if the temp of water for the wash was okay - didn't really just seem to have any overall professionalism that you can get at a salon. I'm the end of the cut was even slightly okay I wouldn't bother to leave this - but honestly I'm going g to have to get it corrected asap! And again - it's not like they are inexpensive. They are charging high end prices for an experience that is anything but.

The Wig Shop
5376 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036, United States
If it is possible to do, today I had a pleasant visit to this wig shop. Ive shopped here for at least 5 years. They have a nice selection with varying textures of synthetic and human hair. Theyre clean with the modern layout and a smart attentive staff. My consultant today was Albeir. I was a challenge for him but he refused to be beaten. Im guessing I was there for about an hour. And to top all of that, they have a 50% sale going on, so I bought 2 wigs. I left thanking Albeir for his help and patience. And we laughed at talking apples and oranges and still ended up with what I always buy. He admitted to trying to slip different colors into my choices since initially I said I wanted a lighter color. take an hour to treat yourself at The Wig Shop. say hello to Albeit.
