Dont go here, I wish I did not.I walked in to make an appointment. I told the front desk that I wanted to work with a gamma stylist, the highest level of stylist in training. The person they supposedly were booking me with was a beta, second tier, but she is from a foreign country where she has her cosmotology license in, but that license is not recognized here in California. When I arrived for my appointment today, I looked through the look books and chose several pics that showed how I wanted my naturally dark blonde hair with 6 months of grown out highlights to become natural looking highlighted and lowlighted hair. The stytlist myself and the educator all spoke IN DETAIL about this. The last thing the (first) EDUCATOR said to the stylist was NO CHUNKY HI LITES. Well he didnt supervise her AT ALL. While she was doing the color, she told me she was an engineer in the Ukraine, before she moved here, which struck me as odd being that I was told my stylist has a hair license NOT an engineering license in her home country.Another (second) educator comes over to check in about the cut, there were some communication issues which we ironed out and in the end the cut came out pretty good.....She started blow drying my hair and oh gosh now I can see the color. I now had incredibly CHUNKY highlights, that were PLATINUM blonde in front and dark dark blonde on the sides.Another (third) educator came over, as at this point I am in tears, and she agreed to waive the fees for today and I can make an another appointment to fix it. Why they couldnt fix it then and there, I am not sure. My schedule is tight and no I cant come back tomorrow. She is finishing up the blow dry and I am still visibly upset, so now the fourth educator comes over, and says dont worry, we will fix it I cannot refund you but we will fix it for free. I said thats funny, I was already told I did not have to pay for my services today since I was so unhappy. Fourth educator says maybe a school isnt the right place for you to come to which I replied Maybe the first educator, who is no longer on the floor, should have stayed and supervised my entire process. The stylist finished the blow dry and to be honest, it wasnt even a good blow dry. My naturally wavy hair, was now straight like i asked, but pretty damn frizzy. When I went downstairs to reschedule, it turns out the gammas are only taking appointments from 315 to 415pm I work in fitness which means I always have to be in work by 5pm, during the week and I work on Saturdays, so my only option was to go with a beta stylist. I passed. So yeah I did NOT pay with money but trust me I am paying with S----Y streaky chunky likes its 1999 highlights. And Ill have to pay to have this fixed by a pro.The thing is I have gone to schools before, and there is usually ONE educator or master instructor, who actually stays with the stylist the entire time THAT SAME EDUCATOR checks in periodically. I understand that part of me getting services cheaply, is that they may not get it 100%, I am helping someone gain experience in their learning environment. But the skill-less-ness and the attitude and unprofessionalism here is solely from educators who have no supervisory skills and zero responsibility for the people that come in.If you want chap hair servicesr, there has to be a better deal on lifebooker or groupon or go check out the Paul Mitchell school on Folsom St

Our company had the unfortunate experience of attempting to organize 3-nights of dinners for a group of high school students here over this past Thanksgiving break.Whats started as a fun and creative idea for the kids, concluded with a plethora of additional costs we had to take on as a result of the poor service and negligence found from management.Upon our arrival for the first night, beside the desolate grounds and lack of staff, the private barn rental was scattered with guests which were not apart of our group, and only a single staff available on property which seemed to care less about our rental/reservations than he did his own work. As the students waited in lines with the $12 in vouchers we provided, it then became apparent that the vouchers for $12 didnt even cover meals for most of the trucks. When organizing this and telling them our budget was $12, at the very least they should have explained that we should either increase it, or let us know they could not match that. Instead all 300+ kids waited in lines to pay with their vouchers and any spare cash they had as many of the vendors werent even accepting them to pay the remaining balances with card. One vendor in particular, selling pizzas, was so rude and disrespectful towards the students, that I recommend they should retire from any customer service oriented positions. We got through the rest of the night and after talking with their manager to add more vouchers for the next day for each student, we had high hopes that the park would redeem itself the next evening for Thanksgiving.Upon organizing this, we had reserved the entire park for Thanksgiving night, including three food trucks to serve everyone. Upon arrival, we noticed there were only 2 trucks, who could barely even keep up with the demand. After talking with management, they said the 3rd truck was in an accident and would be late but in the end, never even showed up. With kids waiting over 30 min for their meals and lines backed up at the two trucks, we finally had to make a decision to leave the park and order pizzas for those still hungry at the hotel as the trucks were not able to accommodate the size of our group. I think what was most disappointing about this was the sheer lack of communication from management. As a group spending over $12K in 3 days and supporting small local businesses, we had much higher expectations from this establishment and its vendors. The most disappointing part is being able to see such a great concept and idea so broken. We had cancelled all other dinner plans after talking with their manager as we thought this would be a fun and unique experience for our students, but in the end it turned out to be a wash.On our final day, Friday night, after receiving a list of calls from parents and other campus staff, we were forced to find meals for more than half of the students as many refused to go back after the atrocity it had been the 2 previous nights, let alone a ruined thanksgiving. In the end, the service was far from acceptable, and although I would probably come here on my own, I would never attempt to host another event at this venue again, nor try to work with their management to resolve it.
Mays Barbershop
411 18th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94121, United States
May has asked me to share that she is currently offering “At Home” haircuts in the comfort of your own garage or back yard unit within the San Francisco city limit. She is asking only $40 per haircut and only taking enough commissions to help cover the cost of the continued rent for her shop while it is closed. Both parties to wear masks and stay in a well ventilated outdoor area for everyone's safety. Highly recommend her services now and into the future.
Ebony Beauty Supply
4820 3rd St, San Francisco, CA 94124, United States
I came here one time and had a great experience. I wanted to buy another wig, but the gentleman on the phone was very rude and unprofessional. He did not know what merchandise they sold, and when asked if they could check, he refused and hanged up the call. I will spend my money some place else. Maybe management changed since my first visit. I could see that almost all the previously positive reviews were posted years ago. I don't recommend this place.
SCK Salon
1109 Taraval St, San Francisco, CA 94116, United States
She was very kind and the price was very affordable, but it was one of the worst haircuts I have had in years. After telling her exactly what I wanted done with my hair, it ended up being way too short and it was not what I asked for. It obviously wasnt intentional, but still really disappointing. I will not be coming back here to get my haircut.
Sola Salons Downtown San Francisco
660 Market St 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94104, United States
I absolutely loved what Cheyenne did to to my hair today. He uses organic and gentle products and the color and shine came out top notch without killing my hair. I have super fine hair and making it look like anything cute/nice is not easy. He did and he truly enjoys what he does. He is also very clear about what he will do before cutting :). His salon is very cozy and pretty decorated. I loved the plants and art. Go see him, is a real gem and will make you look and feel incredible.
The Academy SF
2166 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States
My sister hosted her wedding ceremony and reception at the Academy. It is such a beautiful space. The color schemes, decor, and overall ambiance is just luxurious. We used the outdoor area for the ceremony and the upstairs area for the reception both of which were reasonably priced for what we got!We worked with Nate on the booking process and he was great from start to finish. I originally came in with my partner to take a tour and loved the space so much, I called my sister on FaceTime so she could see it too. After, Nate offered to let my sister and me come to the club for a drink so that she could see the club in person before making the decision to book. She loved it, and from there Nate provided us with an estimate and answered all of the questions we had promptly. Nate also reached out to us the week of the wedding to offer us a chance to see a new space they had just in case it rained, which was very thoughtful. He also let us drop the cake off for storage the day before! On the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly. The staff checked the guests in, and they had a coat check available which was so convenient. We provided our own plates, flatware, and food.I have to give a special shout-out to the bartender, Arthur (the fifth of his name) who was the coolest person ever. A great balance between friendly and professional. Arthur was extremely thoughtful, funny, and just a pleasure to be around. It felt like he could handle any and everything!Id highly recommend booking The Academy for your special event!

Scalp Society SF - Scalp Micropigmentation Bay ...
1512 Pine St, San Francisco, CA 94109, United States
I came across Scalp society while online searching for micro scalp pigmentation in the Bay Area. It took me a good few months to convince myself to call and inquire about the process and reading about benefits / concerns I had. The receptionist made it very easy and was genuine and caring in her delivery. Something like this can be extremely nerve racking. She set me up for a consultation in which I met Quyen who would eventually be my technician for my procedure.Fast forward a few weeks and I'm driving up to SF for my appointment. I arrived and immediately clicked with Quyen who was able to talk my nerves down and outline the process. Gave me a few details about what to expect for the next 3.5 hours. He really makes you feel comfortable, builds that trust as your technician and genuinely wants to help clients not only feel better about themselves but also takes it slow enough that you're really feeling that lost confidence come back. We set up the hairline outline, talked through my concerns and then the rest was just slightly painful but manageable to get through. He explained the difference between tattooing vs micropigmentation. Also clearly communicated aftercare process. The spot is centrally located in middle of city with decent amount of paid parking around. Inside the spot is nicely set up and really gives the shop this really modern style. Awesome big screen TV and Netflix to help take your mind off the process a little.I'm on my 2nd appt currently with one more left. I'm excited to be wrapping this up and to see what next lil adventure I can take and rock my new look.A big shout out and THANK YOU to Quyen and for his time and energy to help me come into this next chapter for me. You've really helped change my life for the good and I'm extremely grateful.-Antonio
Horizon Auto Repair
660 Bryant St, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States
Horizon Auto Repair delivered a fantastic service. I brought in my Beetle for repair. Eddy provided me quickly with a quote and patiently explained me all the details of the problem. I am not an auto expert but he walked me through the names of the auto parts. The repairs were performed very efficiently. Because the damage was issued by a third party, I couldnt pick up the car for a few weeks. Eddy was very patient in waiting for me to resolve the issue with the third party. He kept my car cleaned and safe during that period. I recommend Eddys repair shop to get your car work done professionally and honestly.
