Comment: Three16 Photography did an amazing job capturing my daughter’s wedding day at the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach. Jerrick and his whole team were a pleasure to work with from the start. Extremely professional, talented, and FUN, his team captured all the special moments throughout the day with beautiful photos. Comment: After deciding Anaheim would be the next location my family would be visiting for downtime. I started to research photographers in the area to have my daughter’s senior photos taken.After communicating with several, I found Jerrick was a standout to others. We planned this months in advance and managed to meet at the proposed time and place as requested.This gentleman went above and beyond the proposed photos session….he included sibling shots, family shots and the senior pics. Comment: I got married in May 2022 and used Three16 for my photography. I never post negative reviews which is why it took me so long to realize that this one is worth posting to help any brides avoid the issues I ran into with this vendor.Throughout the whole planning process, I worked with Jerrick to communicate my goals, budget, and expectations for our wedding photography. He was great - quick and thorough communication that made me felt seen and understood. At no point did he disclose that he would not be the primary photographer, I only found out one week prior to our wedding. I never actually spoke to our primary photographer until the day of the wedding. It seemed like the second shooter and the primary had never met or worked together as they had an odd dynamic. I didnt feel confident that either of them had insight into what I had talked about with Jerrick. I tried to go with the flow and let the experts do their job.Throughout the shoot, myself and a bridesmaid had to suggest alternative locations due to obvious red flags - such as people in the background, poor lighting, etc. Shouldnt they have seen that and also tried to get a variety of shots - not just one location for all of the photos? When I got the photos back, I was devastated to see more rudimentary critical errors. Nearly every individual or small group photo was cropped to cut off the bottom third of the person and leave tons of overhead space. Also they applied the same generic filter to all of the photos and did no noticeable edits otherwise. The photos were grainy and looked low quality.When I expressed this feedback to Jerrick he was incredibly dismissive and, for lack of a better word, gaslight me into thinking that I should have known what to expect with their style. He made no consolation other than Im sorry you feel that way and only offered to send me the raw files, rather than re-edit any after I repeatedly pushed for some acknowledgement.Maybe Im nitpicky but check out the photographer in the mirror, horrible framing, unruly cords and hoses in the background and overall graininess of photos as just a few examples. While I did get a few precious photos that I will savor forever, the majority are largely unusable which is a huge waste of time and money.

Comment: Jerrick and the guys were wonderful to work with! They were super cooperative and had a ton of suggestions for photos we were unsure about. They made a big effort to make sure they got shots that were important to us, using a list of must-have photos they had us fill out prior to our wedding. Jerrick was very considerate with our guests and family, asking if there were any guests who we really wanted to make sure we got photos and special moments with. He also made sure anyone who might not be able to stand too long for photos was taken into consideration. Typically, we are not super comfortable in front of the camera, but the crew made it a very relaxed environment, resulting in a lot of natural smiles and laughter in our photos. We used them for both Photography and Videography and both crews did a great job. We cant recommend them enough!

Comment: My husband and I are so glad that we chose Three16 Photography for our wedding this past September. Jerrick, the owner and lead photographer was awesome to work with. Photography is one of the vendors that we didnt mind paying a little more for memories that we will treasure for a lifetime.Long story short, Jerrick worked with us for our second engagement photo session. From that moment, we knew he would be the perfect fit for our wedding. He knows how to make you laugh during the session so youre more relaxed. We enjoyed his friendly and easy going personality.Even our bridal party, really liked our photographer because he was so fun and upbeat. We arent pros in front of the camera but, Jerrick took some amazing shots on our big day. He seemed to know the perfect locations to take photos at our venue, The Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort.We had a traditional Eastern/Western wedding which included two tea ceremonies, church ceremony and reception. Jerrick was with us for the whole 10 hours capturing every detail. Fast forward 6 weeks post wedding, we received notification that our photos were ready. Comment: I’m not even sure where to begin on singing the praises of this amazing photography group! Having a photography background has made me super picky about the standard and quality of photography I pay for. I must have looked at over a hundred different photographers before I found Three 16 Photography. One of my biggest issues was that I was a mixed bride with a tanner complexion (and a large mix of skin tones at that would be at the wedding), and I wanted to see the ability that any photography company had in presenting their work with multiple skin tones in the same photo while staying true to natural color. They delivered! And their work is exquisite! Not only did they beautifully capture every precious moment for us they were a pure delight to work with from start to finish. The owner of the company, Jerrick O’Connor, truly cares about the couples that come to him for his companies services. He is excellent at communicating the details and keeping everything on track for the big day. We had the distinct pleasure of working with Kirsten, Carsten, and our photo booth operator Alex on our wedding day at Galway Downs in Temecula on 8-18-18. They were such a delight and fit right in with everyone else. They had great time management and wonderful creative ideas that inspired the creation of some amazing images, while still letting us enjoy our wedding to the fullest. If we had to do this all over again we wouldn’t hesitate to choose this amazing company, and I know we will be utilizing them again in the future!

I decided to look up “wedding photos on the beach” to see which photographers I liked the most. Every time I saw a beautiful photo, it was done by Three16 Photography. I was very picky when it came to choosing who to photograph my wedding because I wanted a team that could capture all of its moments while also giving suggestions on how to pose (because my hubby and I are not models by any means!). Jerrick, the owner, just shot our engagement shoot and though the wind was making my hair and skirt go all over the place and the sun was going down fast with a whole lot of fog in the air, Jerrick was able to edit our photos to still look absolutely incredible. You’ll love him and his team because they’re very personable and not pushy into what they think is best, but will give you honest feedback if you ask for it… they’ve helped me with recommending a lot of my other vendors for my big day and have given a lot of suggestions that just made planning easier. They’re worth every penny :0) They’re also very VERY good at getting their photos to you when they say will.

Comment: Three16 is an excellent photography company that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. Jerrick, the owner, was the photographer for our backyard wedding in Seal Beach. Although we had to make a lot of cutbacks because of covid, the day still went by smoothly due to the efforts of our photographer. As with all weddings, not everything went smoothly on the day of and the bridal party arrived late at the first look photos. Jerrick was quick to adapt and was still able to get all of the shots we wanted, despite the setback in time. His positive demeanor also made the entire picture taking process very easy. In addition, during the dinner service, our caterers were short staffed and were only bringing two plates at a time. This slowed down the service. Jerrick, however, upon noticing this, volunteered himself to help with serving our guests. From his previous experience as a waiter, he showed the caterers how to safely hold 5 plates at the same time. These two little stories are just a little of what Jerrick and Three16 photography did to make my wedding day special and as stress free as possible. Furthermore, we just received our photographs from him and we were really happy with the quality and composition of the shots. My wife and I are very happy to have chosen Three16 photography and would do it again in a heartbeat! I definitely recommend!

It was a rainy/misty day on and off, but they made us feel at ease explaining that the pictures would still turn out well and they actually prefer that the weather is overcast as they can control the lighting better. During the day they were easy to work with, helped me stay calm as a bride, and fun! So many guests commented on how professional they all were. Once we received the photos, we melted! We are so in love with all the photos! Jerrick and his team uploaded them to an online gallery for us to download as well as sending a flashdrive and 4x6 prints in the mail since we live out of state. So many people that were unable to attend the wedding were in awe of the photos and were extremely impressed with the quality of photos we have. With our package we got a 5 minute highlight video as well as an hour long documentary edit. I highly recommend doing this. The team did an amazing job editing the two videos to create a perfect way to remember that day. The highlight film is great to share with friends, and the documentary edit includes the entire ceremony and all the toasts, which is awesome to have on film forever! We first met Jerrick at a wedding show and immediately we liked that he was personable and someone you could have a real conversation with, so we were instantly excited to go with Three16 Photography. From our first meeting to plan out the engagement session to our wedding date things went absolutely smoothly. Jerrick was honest and realistic about all our expectations, so I appreciated that because someone you feel like people are just saying yes to say yes and then you are disappointed when it doesnt happen. I was very insistent on not doing a first look because I wanted my then fiancé to see me for the first time down the aisle. However, I had a late fall wedding and with the time change, Jerrick was honest about the light constrictions and what would work best to get the most pictures out of my day. Even though I was not sold, it totally made sense and Im glad that we went with his suggestion. We were able to get all the photos that we wanted and more and the first look did not take away anything from my walking down the aisle either. He didn’t just talk business but was truly interested in our story and who we were. Jerrick also had a several very helpful tips for the day of our wedding. You can tell he truly loves his work and is passionate about the wedding industry. From there he thoroughly explained all of our options. After leaving we felt confident that his team would do a fantastic job. In the time leading up to the wedding Jerrick made sure to stay in touch with us and always answered our questions in a timely manner. He also gave us some questionnaires to help guide his team on our big day to make sure they captured exactly what we wanted. We were sad that Jerrick himself would not be able to photograph our wedding and our tea ceremony but the team he sent was outstanding. They were enthusiastic even though the day of our wedding was incredibly hot. Our wedding planner at the Jones Victorian Estate in Orange has been doing weddings for years and was extremely impressed with their professionalism and work. She said she’d never met photographers who never said no to trying a picture. We asked them for funny shots and they gave us a bunch. They knew we were nerdy and so they even brought some D&D Dice to add to some of our layout photos with the date of our wedding. They did both formal shoots and candid shots. I didn’t even know they were there during the ceremony or when they were taking the candid shots.After the wedding Jerrick told us it would take up to three months to get our photos. But after a little over a month they were ready! I know they can’t always do this because they may be incredibly busy but it was amazing getting our photos so fast. Jerrick met with us again and presented our photos in such a fun way (I’ll keep it a secret so others can appreciate the surprise). The only thing I am really sad about is that we now we don’t get to meet with Jerrick (or his team) because they were all such awesome people. If you are looking for a photographer in the Orange County area I cannot recommend the Three16 Photography enough.

We sat down with Jerrick prior to booking our engagement session so he could explain his vision and style and we could fill him in on what we were looking for. We knew photos would be the one thing that would remain after our day was over, and we wanted to make sure they were special. Three 16 really stepped up to get up to speed in a couple days, including a face-to-face meeting to make sure we were all on the same page. They have so much experience to help guide the process, yet they were very cognizant not to dictate over what we wanted. The pricing was very reasonable and yet they were still willing to customize our package so we got even more value out of it. He is very friendly, professional, and was super flexible with scheduling meetings all throughout the process. He takes great pride in his work and the work of his contract photographers. My husband loved the fact that our first meeting was in his office, where we were able to get to know each other a little better, ask our questions and look through sample photo books. Even though he doesnt shoot every wedding, the style and feel of all the photos that we were shown are 100% consistent with his style of photography, which is great to know! We were even given a little Thank You gift for our time, which was very sweet!So our wedding was not shot by Jerrick himself, but by Valor and Alex, along with a videographer team lead by Emma. Jerrick organized for us to meet with both Valor and Emma a couple weeks before the wedding, since they would be there on our wedding day. This put our minds at ease and helped us get to know their personalities a little better. Very sweet people! We were completely satisfied. I also appreciated the fact that Jerrick has all his couples put together a schedule for the day, so that we can ensure we have enough time for all the pictures we want. This was brilliant. He was able to read it and revise it, based on realist goals!Our wedding was on Memorial Day weekend, on Friday May 27th in West Hollywood and everyone arrived on time! If not earlier. And even though I was running a little behind on makeup, they were able to just improvise on the schedule and shoot other things (like the detail shots) in the meantime. Since we were getting ready at the W Hotel, Valor took some time to scope out the scene to make sure what places would be great for shots, as well as make sure the staircase where we would have our First Look was in good shape. Emma and Valor were able to corral the group for group pictures, and even though we were kicked out halfway through, we were able to get some awesome pictures from the hotel! (Word of advice here-make sure you let the hotel staff know you want to take wedding pictures prior to, or else you wont be able to take pictures! But beware-It may cost you! In our case, the W charges you $800 just to be able to take pictures, which is ridiculous, and which is why we decided to just wing it and make the best of it :)The rest of the day went by in a beautiful blur, but Valor and the crew did an amazing job. We just got our wedding pictures back and we are thrilled with how they turned out! We could not have asked for anything better. When talking to my cousin the morning of her wedding before she walked down the bride, she seemed awfully calm.....I mentioned it to her, and she said that her photographer Jerrick had a really calming effect on her. :). Hes just an all-around nice guy, and so were all of the Three16 team.The photo team was strategically placed in all the right places to get great shots during the ceremony, and was very quick in getting family photos right after the ceremony. He took our family Christmas photos this past year, and did a fantastic job!We have a family of six, with four kids ranging from 9 years old down to 18 months old, and through a combination of professional skill, charm, and goofiness with the kids, Jerrick was able to wrangle everyone together for a truly stunning set of family and individual photos. The photos Jerrick took of our family were not only loved by those who received the photos with their Christmas cards, but my wife and I will truly cherish the photos for years to come.An added factor with Jerrick was that he never made us feel like he was rushing us, or that we were inconveniencing him, or that (in the midst of toddler tantrums) he was getting frustrated. Comment: Absolutely love Jerrick with Three16! I have never been completely comfortable in front of a camera; and was worried as soon as I got engaged that finding a good photographer to help me out would be hard. My worries melted as soon as I met Jerrick at a bridal show in Anaheim. He answered all the questions I had, there was a lot, and made me feel at ease about the whole process. My fiance and I met with Jerrick several times before we signed the contract and he was great, offering advice and any other information he thought would help us out. I do not consider myself photogenic and was very concerned with finding a photographer who could pull out amazing photos. As we met with Jerrick for our engagement photos the whole process felt easy and comfortable. He helped us with posing, and managed to catch all the little moments I did not even know were happening. The turn around took less than a week with the first few edited photos showing up the next day! Jerrick is much more than a photographer that shows up the day of the wedding and just snaps some shots. Overall, my experience so far has been perfect and I can not wait to see what he does with our wedding photos.

Comment: There arent enough words to describe the awesomeness that is Jerrick OConnor! He was truly a Godsend and that made our choice so much simpler when my fiance and I were looking for our wedding photographer.Our engagement session didnt feel like one of those lets get it over with kind of setting but more of having a close friend taking great pictures of us all afternoon. 3 hours went by so fast! And then talk about the turn around time. We got our engagement photos within a week and Jerrick gave us more pictures than we had paid for which was amazing! Comment: Jerrick and his assistant of Three16 Photography did a terrific job for our wedding two weeks ago. He created some wonderful shots at our venue and was easy to work with. He seemed to capture all the angles but never seemed to be in the way. Our engagement photos turned out great and our sneaks of the wedding look even better. Comment: Our big day is over and all I have to say is: Jerrick is the real deal.He just sent us a sneak peek from our day and I am so satisfied. We provided a very precise and short shot list of family pictures we were sure we wanted for that day. And then we just let Jerrick use his eye to capture the rest.As in our engagement sessions, he gave very useful and non-cringe inducing direction. At no point did I feel embarrassed or uncomfortable with myself, feelings I often have when a camera is around. He had lots of good pose suggestions and was open to our idea of an Abbey Road inspired shot (my husband is a big fan of the Beatles).He was friendly to all our guests, so accommodating and helpful. He is also a very good business man- clear with his rates, contracts and responsive to e-mails and phone calls. We wouldnt change of thing- he is a 7 star rating.
