Comment: I’ve gone to Sofia a few times for facial and bikini electrolysis. I used a numbing cream and have seen some really good results so far. Much less mustache than I used to have! My bikini line is in quick follow too. I’ve done a hydro facial as well as microdermabrasion. I always leave with my skin feeling as bright as ever! The salon itself is a cute little jewel box with colorful wall paper that makes you feel warm and at ease. I’m looking forward to my next appointment :)

Comment: I went to Sofia for 5 electrolysis appointments, either 15 or 30 mins. I am now going to a different esthetician for electrolysis and Im finding this to be a better option that continuing to go to Sofia.I find the electrolysis technique that Sofia uses to be extremely invasive and abrasive to my facial skin to the point that my chin would be sore for 2-3 days after my appointment with inflammation and breakouts.I also found Sofias bedside manner to be bleak and not welcoming at all. I didnt find her very empathetic to the fact that electrolysis on the face, is extremely painful.Her salon is very charming and clean so thats definitely an upside I wouldnt fault her for.I do believe that going to Sofia helped my skin and hair growth but I still wouldnt return, despite how close I live to her salon. Im happy that now after an electrolysis session I can go about my day without being in overt pain for the next coming days and wanting to hideout in my apartment until my skin calmed down. Different strokes for different folks!

Comment: I went to Sofia for an electrolysis appointment to remove unwanted facial hair since I was having trouble scheduling with my previous electrologist. She was friendly, welcoming and kind during the appointment. However, the service itself was horrifying. My chin and upper lip were bleeding and sore. I left feeling like my skin had been mutilated and it took weeks for it to heal.With every other practitioner I’ve seen, I’ve only experienced slight reddening. Would not recommend seeing her for facial electrolysis.

Comment: Sofia is wonderful. Ive been coming to her and her previous work partner Alicia for electrolysis on and off for about 13 years. Ive been so pleased with the results and with her professionalism. I started electrolysis in high school and it has been daunting at times but Sofia helps you feel right at ease. I cant wait to try her other skincare services.

Comment: I go to Sofia for electrolysis. She is incredibly professional and effective --- has modern machinery and works quickly too. Definitely my best electrolysis experience, and Ive been to a few places: a few have slightly lower prices, but Sofia works quicker, and is easily worth a few extra bucks on the hourly rate.Everyones different, but my appointments with her have also been followed with somewhat less breakouts irritation, etc. than with other providers. Never had any problems.Have not visited for other skin care services -- but given her professionalism and effectiveness, I would be absolutely shocked if any of the services provided werent high quality. She is also very sweet and a pleasure to be around. :)

Comment: Ive meant to leave Sofia a review for the past year and Im finally doing it!Sofia saved my skin. Honestly. I was so fed up with my acne, so decided to double-down with monthly acne facials and it has made all the difference. I no longer wake up with another random spot on my face.I also get my eyebrows done each time, which allows me to cross off multiple things from my list. Convenient area for parking, or walking from Bart.

Comment: Sofia has been my esthetician for over 25 years and I completely trust her and rely on her skills to keep my skin healthy and vibrant. Sofia offers a wide range of services and is very knowledgeable about a variety of skin issues. I am a healthcare provider and wear a mask all day at work which often leads to skin irritation that Sofia corrects with regular facials. I know several other people who are long-time clients and they feel the same level of confidence. I highly recommend Sofia Skin Care.
