Comment: When you walk into the office staff greeted me right away. I failed to complete the patient intake document and no problem. I selected the Botox injections and use more than 20 units from the Groupon voucher. I went on Tuesday which the cost is less. The nurse listened to what I didn’t like about my face and she suggested some areas. The injection did not hurt. She was very kind. I been wanting to check out this physician and the Groupon lead me to the office. I’m glad I did and I will be looking into more procedures.

Comment: I can’t sing enough concerning dr javaheri’s praises. I suffered for almost a year with a chronic infection & a great deal of pain. An end didn’t seem in sight, and my trust in surgeons wasn’t exactly high. I went to several health practitioners with no resolution & frankly, was scared what was emerging as a chronic health condition battle. It may sound like excessive, however, it would be a understatement if I did not convey that Dr Javaheri restored my life.He is highly skilled & i am not alone in my experience in that he is known for addressing & “fixing” some fairly involved medical complications that arise from unsuccessful surgeries & experiences of patients that are referred to him from not only patients but referring physicians that do not have his expertise in a multitude of areas.Additionally, his amazing bed side manner (very kind, calm, compassionate, great listener, nonjudgmental yet straightforward approach) make not only interactions very positive, but provide the foundation for a trusting relationship that in my case has spanned 3-4 years now.Bottom line: He knows what he is doing & he does it better than most in his field. Furthermore, Dr. Javaheri is a quintessential professional: a perfectionist minus the narcissism inherent to this field. He remains humble & is not interested in selling you a thing, such as additional services, with only your best interest in mind & will tell you exactly what to expect. I have, and will continue to refer him, which says a lot given where I started.He cares deeply for his patients, remains accessible at all times, in my case it was lengthy. Dr Javaheri checked on my daily, came into the office on weekends & even offered to come to me when I was unable to drive.... despite his needing to catch a flight to the Middle East where every year he fulfills a commitment to complete round the clock pro-bono surgeries on individuals, primarily children, with disfiguring conditions such as cleft palate. By the way: He still, consistently checked on me on the other side of the world! & my experience is not isolated. This is who he is & how much concern he has. He’s the real deal & a fantastic physician & human being.

Took his time to answer all my questions and explained alternate procedures that could have great results with fewer risks.I ended up getting butt implants with liposuction and fat transfer to my hips. Dr. Javaheri shaped the implants to make my hips seem wider as well.Overall, it’s been about a month since my procedure and I couldn’t be happier with my results. No pressure whatsoever. He had me speak to his nurse who gave me non invasive options and I started my treatments same day. I am so happy with his honesty, and his recommendations. I’ve known dr Javaheri for many years and only trust him!!!! I will never go to another plastic surgeon. I drive all the way from Santa Cruz just to see him in San Francisco. Comment: I would advise any person of the LGBT...... community to stay away especially from the lady at the from desk name Raj shes a horrible person who loves to harass, and gossip about patients ....that lady name Raj is something else let me start of by saying my first experience with wasnt a good from the start and that should have been my sign to stay away from this place, Im transgender and had a consult for possible surgery with the doctor after the consult Raj called me none stop to try and get me to book surgery with them, even offering multiple discounts I took her being so forceful and pushy as a warning sign not to go ahead and book, my second encounter was for Tatoo removal she literally stood there and argued with a patient in-front of me and it only got worst from there, I cant fully disclose the senerio of what happened next but you can reply to this post for information.. I would advise anyone who is LGBT...... especially Transgender to stay away from this place, because they stand firm by there cultural beliefs .

Comment: ReviewThe front desk were so professional and on top of it when I called to schedule and when I arrived for my appt. I wish I remembered the name of the nurse, but I was impressed with her knowledge and friendliness. This was my third IPL all by different providers this year. The first two times were with other providers and were pretty good, but I didn’t know any better as to what kind of results could be achieved. They were superficial and didn’t touch any of my problem spots, but brightened the overall tone of my skin. However, after my treatment here my largest sun/age spots slightly scabbed over and is now gone. I had accepted that I was going to have to live with it and did not expect it to disappear. I’m happy with the overall experience and results. So not all lasers are created equal and I will definitely be coming back.

Comment: Very thorough pre-op. Answered all of my questions. I did not feel rushed. I was made to feel that I could take as much time as I need. Looking forward to the results of my procedures. Very excited!A week and a half out from my J Plasma procedure and I cant wait to see the final results. The first four days were a little scary but Dr. Javaheri and his staff were very comforting. I called or texted him personally if I was concerned or needed clarification of my discharge directions. At this point I can see so much improvement in my face. All of the wrinkles around my mouth are gone and that was my most important goal. I have known Dr. Javaheri for years and went to him recently because I remembered him as a very caring person. Even during those first four days of recovery, when even the face recognition on my iPhone couldnt recognize me, I trusted in his work and now I am seeing how much it is paying off. Thank you Dr. Javaheri.The J plasma is coming along fine, removed many lines and creases. The tummy tuck needed some additional liposuction which was done free of charge and looks great. Very pleased.Just saw Dr. J and everything has healed up as expected. Still some marks on my face from the J Plasma but those are fading as time goes by. Very pleased with Dr. Js work.

I had struggled with ingrown hair in a couple areas - with just one treatment at their office I saw results right away, seriously. It just took one treatment to thin my hair and stop my ingrown hairs from scaring and building up.It really hard to find a place where the actual surgeon is doing the botox injection. Given their expertise on plastic surgery I wanted a doctor to administer the botox to get the best results. Dr. Javaheri gave me great recommendation on areas on my face I could use botox and fillers if needed. He was understanding about my reservation about wanting to look really natural. Ive had my botox for 6 months and it looks great! People always say they cant even tell I got it!I am SO happy I made the decision to go through with laser treatment and Botox here. The staff is incredibly kind and careful before, during and after treatment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Comment: Nice guy but a bad surgeon. He did my nose septoplasty about 8 months ago and as each months goes by my nose appearance/ breathing worsens. I let him know that I am having more trouble breathing through my nose after the surgery than before it and that my septum is possibly even more deviated than before. He just began to play confused and act as if he didn’t know or see what I was talking about. Also he placed my nasal bones back incorrectly which cause my nose to be crocked and depressed on the right side. I never will want him to touch my nose again. I’m in full regret. I ended up having another doctor exam my nose and she saw exactly everything that was wrong and told me that I shouldn’t go back to him or just anybody, she recommends that if I’m thinking of getting it fixed that I should go check out surgeons in LA/ Beverly Hills that are high qualified, board certified and specialize in noses.

Ive been visiting a few tattoo removal places in the Bay Area trying to find a good spot to get 10-15 tattoos removed and Dr Javaheris office are by far my favorite. The feeling I got with other locations *cough* LazerAway *cough* was that they were simply trying to waste as much of my time and money as possible by dragging out treatments and forcing me to take more sessions. This definitely does not happen here; they care about your skin, but theyre also focused on getting the tattoos removed quickly. On the money side of things, these guys are really reasonably priced and were way less than some of the competitors in the area. The staff are also really awesome, super punctual, quick to respond, and, honestly, just a pleasure to be around.

Comment: I went to his office in SF for my first time getting Botox. I’m 24 years old. I had 20 units of Botox inserted in my frown lines. After a week I didn’t notice any results. They told me to wait at least 2 weeks. No results. They took me in and injected another 20 units of Botox. I asked why it didn’t work and he had no idea because it should have worked. It’s been a week now since my second visit and still no results. The only thing I noticed was my headaches which I will visit my primary doctor for. I feel a disturbing sensation in my forehead.

Comment: I decided to get IPL for the first time and the lure to Dr. Shahin’s office was the Groupon. The first session went well and I had done enough research to know that these treatments have to be bundled to be effective.Yes, the front ladies offered me a bundle deal after my first treatment but they were not pushy. I decided to buy 3 more sessions. There is only one nurse that does them, her name is Jamra and she is amazing at explaining the treatment and very detailed about getting every part of your problem area treated.After my 3 sessions, I decided to get a Groupon with another provider. I wanted to get that low cost first time deal again. That experience made me run right back to Jamra at Dr. Javeri’s office. In fact, I bought 3 more sessions. All of my sun damage is now gone but now I do IPL’s on a monthly basis because it keeps my skin looking great. I’m done with facials and creams, they can’t do what IPL does. I got my first “what are you doing with yourself lately, you are glowing” comment last week. Thanks Jamra! That’s your work.

Sometimes you need a special doctor who has a particular skill.When you go to this doctor looking for help, & explain your horrific journey that brought you to him, and he listens, & seems to genuinely care, it gives you hope. Because nothing is worse than needing help & having a terrible time getting it.The help that you need is *not* considered cosmetic in your particular situation, & you know for a fact that your insurance will, in fact, cover the cost of the procedure.This doctor is in your plan & (allegedly) accepts your insurance. All thats needed is a prior authorization.You found it a bit odd that this doctor was suggesting alternative procedures to fix this issue, which he admitted to knowing they would NOT be covered by insurance. Even though you were VERY clear you only wanted to go through your insurance. Yet he persisted.Not just one alternative, but several. When youre firm about *only* going through insurance, he assures you it isnt a problem & that if necessary, he can acquire the specific items needed to complete the procedure.In fact, this doctor personally knows the doctor who previously did this procedure on you, & called his assistant (in front of you) for help regarding which billing codes to use.Youre told that an expedited prior authorization would be submitted & to expect to hear back from his office very soon.You leave this doctors office with the ability to exhale. Youve had a terrible & long journey, but youve finally found someone who cares. Someone who will fix your problem. Youre happy. No, youre elated.But when you get a call from this doctors office not 3 hours later, telling you your insurance wont pay for the procedure, youre confused.You ask how the insurance company was able to make a decision on a prior authorization so quickly. Within hours. Late in the day, no less.Youre told that your insurance company considers the procedure as cosmetic & they wont pay for it.When you ask if they actually contacted your insurance company, they then tell the truth & say thats what our billing department said.You ask if they could proceed with the prior authorization & youre told theyd call you right back.And so when you get home, you call your insurance company in tears to ask them if, in fact, they consider this procedure as cosmetic.They confirm that it is NOT considered cosmetic, & the doctor most likely just didnt want to do the procedure for the insurance amount that hed be paid.But you give this doctor the benefit of the doubt, & wait for a call back. Ten days, to be exact. And you never hear from his office. The insurance company confirms that no prior authorization was ever submitted.The hope. The relief. Its all gone.I have *never* felt the need to write a poor review for a doctor. Someone who has taken the Hippocratic Oath in which it states, I will use treatment to help the sick according to my ability and judgment, but never with a view to injury and wrong-doing.This doctor is different. I grappled with leaving a poor review, but it is the truth, & I believe it should be told.I left a review on a different site, & was called, texted, & emailed to the point it was harassment. They wanted me to remove my truth.At the appointment, I was advised that I needn’t pay my copay, as it was “only considered a consultation.” Yet SIX MONTHS later, they bill my insurance anyway & subsequently send me a bill for my copay.And should you choose to see this doctor, you should take this review into consideration.On the surface he is caring, he is helpful, & he is kind.But in the end, he cares more about lining his pockets than helping his patients.

After several months of persistent I learned I had a rare skin cancer. The details of the disease and the first surgery by the initial doctors left me in the dark with unanswered questions.
