Comment: I purchased a 05/25 Groupon for SEV for a Brazilian bikini. 05/28 I booked the procedure through the SEV Laser website and indicated in the message that I want to use one of the 6 sessions. I came to the salon for the procedure on 05/30 and remembered that I wanted to use one of the 6 senses. I was told that my Groupon cannot be used because I bought the same package 1.5 years ago. I am extremely disappointed and upset because no one notified me or called me back and I paid $258 for the Groupon plus $95 for the SEV laser. I could have donated this money to Ukraine where the war is going on, but I just threw away $256 for absolutely nothing. The lady at the front desk told me she would reset the link and Groupon would refund me. No one sent me a link. Groupon said that it will not refund the money, because on the website it is written in fine print from SEV Laser that you can only buy this voucher once. But when you complete the purchase, it says that you can buy 3 more times this offer, which does not give the idea that I will not be able to use these sessions. This is a very unfair business practice

Comment: Going there for a full body laser treatment and I have to say: the cooling air REALLY helps mask any stinging from the laser. But even then, the stinging is that bad at all!! Just feels like a thin rubber band hitting you. I thought it would be much worse but it’s not. The entire process was smooth and easy.Also, Becca is so sweet and kind and amazing- she did my first laser treatment today and I love her! :)

Comment: I did 6 sessions of full face and front of neck at this office. Overall, my experience was good and would recommend coming here. Navia was my nurse at my last visit and she was the best nurse I worked with here! She was careful to get all the spots in a systematic order and gave all the preop/ post op instructions thoroughly. She also gave me the opportunity to ask questions which I really appreciated since I didnt have the chance in previous visits. Some of the nurses kind of rush things to get to their next visit so you never really have the chance to ask anything.My last visit I was rescheduled due to short staff that day but they were pretty flexible when rescheduling me at my preferred time the following week. If you want quick, efficient laser sessions I would recommend coming here.

Comment: It was my first time at SEV and had an AMAZING laser apt! I’ve actually done laser several times before (17 to be exact), w various laser spots, but this one was different! Very thorough, I did my under arms + extended bikini, and for the extended bikini-they really do a great job and I can tell, that when I’m done w my 6 sessions, I will likely not have any more hair left! Unlike other laser places, where it seems to be ineffective, I can tell SEV is going to be different! I’m a happy girl!! :)

Comment: I am very pleased with the results of my Full Brazilian treatments from Sev. It did take quite a few treatments to see semi-permanent results, maybe 10 or so, but now that I have it is wonderful, no more razor bumps or ingrown hairs and any hair that grows is very thin now. I have started my second treatment area with this location of Sev, Full Legs. I am still waiting to see results but I am hopeful after my recent treatment with Jovana, who was extremely comprehensive, attentive, knowledgeable, and did not rush through, she was perhaps my best/most thorough technician to date and very personable as well. She did not skimp on any areas or leave any areas of the legs untreated. I am confident she did an excellent job.Make sure you use a Groupon package to start. After that you cannot use any more Groupon packages but they offer their own packages that are well-priced too.

My first few lasering appts were at a competitor, Laser Away, and it was an awful experience as someone that did not understand the process. I got no communication about what Laser Hair removal was, the machinery being used and being up sold 90% of the time on more packages.I got the complete OPPOSITE at SEV. The space was nicer, brighter and more sanitary, at least, to my liking. They took the time to educate me on the process, review the machine with me and test an area so I got the best degree of laser that was relative to my pigment and sensitivity!I was blown away. THIS changed everything. Thank you for your care and empathy. Cindy was FANTASTIC and a joy to communicate with. I will be recommending your services!

Comment: BEWARE: Some injectors do not know how to inject !I have gotten my lips done for 3 years now at a different clinic that since I moved to college has become too far for me. I came to Sev recommended by a friend and also bc they had really good reviews online. I came in to my appointment a month ago on a Monday afternoon. I told my injector my goals and that I hadn’t had lip filled since almost a year ago. I told her I had really small lips and I understood if we could not get to my goal. Right away the technician was super sweet and understanding and she got to work.First red flag: she started by putting lip filler more on one side than the other (you can tell in the picture) and then the other side of my lip could not hold the same volume (where it went wrong)Second red flag: she was hesitant to give me the mirror (I like to constantly check while they do my lips) I have a tricky smile I get it !Third red flag: she was taking way to long (too painful)After a while she realized she did not know how to help me of fix my lips and she apologized to me. I told her I am in school and part of a recruitment committee for my club. She offered to dissolve my lips for free and service for free (however I did not get my 100 dollar deposit back) or the money I spent on Uber. The time I took out of my schedule to feel better about myself and I never felt worse. My whole recruitment process I hated my lips and it was all I thought about. The dissolver pain was a a 9/10 and left my lips to their natural state.I received a free candle and a free chapstick but you guys seriously don’t come to chain injectors like these. They are injecting to the public how could they not know, they don’t. They are barely starting off or not sure what.Find a clinic who knows and specializes in cosmetic injections and go there. Quality over quantity. Extremely disappointed in this place and myself. I was worried my lips were not meant for filler and I would stay with my natural lips forever. THANKFULLY, that’s not the case. SEV just did a bad job.A word of advice: if you get botched do not remain quiet speak up because I looked ridiculous.

Comment: The gals doing laser are always really kind and easy to talk to.The permanent part of laser hair removal treatment didn’t work for me. I’ve got 12 session for upper lip so far. This slows growth for about 30 days and then it’s back to normal: same thickness, amount, color, etc. fyi, they obviously will say “this always depends on the person” but I’ve called a few other laser hair removal places in the area and Sev is known for offering lower prices but no permanent results. You should definitely try it since it’s true that everyone is different.One more thing: at $20 for upper lip, it was still convenient for me to keep going. It offered me almost a 30 days of slow hair growth. That’s better than other hair removal options. Yet, it’s not permanent.

Manager kindly gave three extra sessions, but one of the techs said they could tell there are areas where there were inconsistencies in where had been lasered and there is still growth. Underarm hair growth started again within months of final session. May want to consider going to a dermatologist or cosmetic derm over the cost of Sev because it ends up being more.

Comment: Wow and double wow! I cannot rave enough about this business. Ive been to the San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Manhattan NY locations and they are all superb. The facilities are super-clean and the technicians professional and kind, always easy to modify appointments (before the 24 hour mark) and the office space is always elegantly styled and with a candle burning to boot! When I visit, I feel like Im a glamorous fictional fashion model in for a touch up before jetting off to Milan or Paris for my next big campaign. Lol The removal procedure itself is as effective as advertised (Im hoping that technology will eventually advance to be able to get those lighter hairs.), and shockingly painless! mild discomfort is how I would describe the initial de-fuzzings, and when the touch-up stage is reached - its absolutely nothing. Twelve stars and a big hug!

The stuff was so unprofessional, they changed my appointment time on the go when I arrived to the salon, without notifying me about it in advance and they lied to me about it to my face when I showed them their text confirmation. I was told that they do not accommodate anyone being late AT ALL. Most places, especially if the services are done by MDs, do your Botox in 30 seconds. This does not allow for great results. Trust me you always want a nurse to do your injectables, just like you would never want an MD to draw your blood at most hospitals in California. She has a great understanding of facial anatomy which is very important and she is FUN. I love that SEV now has a regular injectables nurse because two week touch ups are very important in order to achieve your best look. Thank you AMY. Comment: My initial experience when I first arrived was good. I was checked in and called back rather fast. I spoke with the nurse briefly about how my first visit didn’t go as expected. Things were pretty good as she was explaining to me the process, which I already knew. I usually get my laser hair treatments from serenity Med Spa in SF so I’m no stranger to treatments. As she put the probe to my skin as I felt a very strong zap!! Now I know it’s normal to feel something but not like what I felt! She turned the machine down and said sorry and asked if I was ok. I told her yes, she put some cream on it and proceeded with my treatment. After she was done she gave me a little bit of the cream she put on the burn in a tin jar for me. She said make sure I put it on the spot so it doesn’t leave a scar. This was yesterday 9/2/2020 today I have a huge black mark right in the side of my face!! Not only is there a scar! My skin is peeling down to my flesh!! I will not be returning. Serenity Med Spa is not cheap by any means but well worth it! I have never had a bad experience with Serenity at all. All in all. Comment: The worst place i have ever been. First i had to be asked the same long list of question 3 times in a row. They should coordinate a bit more with each other and save our time. The doctor turns to be so unprofessional and rude trying to hurry up because my appointment was a squeezed one between two others. But this is not the worst. The thing is their laser machine is so bad and non effective. I didn’t see any effect after my treatment. At the end i just lost my money for nothing.

Comment: I paid for 6 sessions for male Brazilian. My hair was very patchy and areas still had a lot of hair growing from them. The girl who did the laser the first time hadnt even done a male brazilian before. I was told i could come for a free touch-up but after speaking to the clinic i was told that i would need to pay for a 7th (and possibly 8th and 9th) session to remove the hair. Ive had my neck, shoulders, chest, stomach and arms lasered and i know how it should look after 6 sessions. Ive now had 7 sessions and need to pay $80 for future full sessions (which is cheaper than they charge for the $90 quick touch up session. All in all its been a bad experience. Im hundreds of dollars out of pocket and still hairy but now its patchy.

Comment: I went in for my first appointment (to get a Brazilian) and the lady made me feel very comfortable because we all know that can be a little awkward. However, I was kind of second guessing of whether or not she got all the areas given. Only one thing I’d complain about: when she went in to do my underarms, I had been sweating a bit and she didn’t wipe down the sweat, she just went ahead with the procedure. Either way it was a good experience and I’m excited to see results.

She gets 5 stars!!!!The only complaint I have about this business is the glade plug-ins in every single room. Its really over whelming and makes me feel sick to be inside for too long(I can barely handle the 15 minutes Im there). I usually show up right on time or a few min late(cuz theyre usually running a few minutes late anyway) Then I dont have to be inside the shop for any longer than I absolutely have to be. I bought a package so Im struggling through the overwhelming fragrance issue.If you are allergic or sensitive to synthetic fragrance you do not want to go here!!!

Comment: Not sure if theres a laser hair removal equivalent to the 4 Cs for buying a diamond but ... this place has got quality machinery, effective results, pretty painless procedures, and affordability all in one.The only thing Id point out is that theres only one couch in the waiting area / the treatment rooms are pretty sterile-looking.Other than that, this place is realllyy awesome for laser hair removal -- and thats coming from someone whos been to LaserAway, a doctor who used the Halo machine, and another laser removal facility in East Bay.

Comment: Besides having a former complaint that I shared with your instagram team, which didnt get resolved, I had a major issue with my treatment today.1) I check with my nurse to check my laser intensity for the last two treatments and I figure out that I had reached level 16 but the last treatment I got the intensity was level 12. I always have different nurses so theres no way the one who decreased my treatment could even tell there was something different with my skin that day.2) I ask my nurse today if she can set the intensity for 18 this time since thatd be my normal course. She says no. Just a No. When I asked her why she says Im comfortable with 16. It isnt about the nurses comfort level, its about mine and if theres a risk then the proper way of communicating to a customer would be lets start with 16 and see how it goes, or any other way to talk to a customer.3) I tell her Im surprised that every time I come each person says some contradicting information and it has been really hard to get one thing straight from their team, and again she rudely responds well, Im correcting your information now, with no apology or anything.4) We start the treatment and then she says you can do a better job with shaving your upper legs so I will not do it this time. Very odd although I shaved both at the same time, but whatever at time point I just wanted to leave.5) I asked her to go over my knees since there was no no hair and she says ok.6) I leave after the treatment is done, and then I find her coming outside after me to tell the front office person to charge me an extra $30 for my knees. Ive ALWAYS got my full leg every time I was there, Ive never been told that knees are a separate charge if Im doing just half my leg. And, she never cared to share that piece of info when I asked her to cover my knees with the laser.7) I tell the front office person all of the above and all she says is ok, I wont charge it now but I have to check with my manager if its okay. She doesnt even get back to me with a timeline of when shell let me know the verdict.Honestly, every time I go there theres an issue. Its very odd for such a business to have me as a customer feeling anxious before I go. With the amount of money I pay and the fact its a treatment they should make sure their customers are relaxed during the treatment and not stressed.Ive referred a total of 4 new customers to sev laser. I will most definitely share this experience with them and with anyone who asks me about laser my experience and recommendation. Im very disappointed in the kind of treatment I received that Id happily go to any other place and pay more but be treated with respect.

Comment: I’ve gone to SEV three times now but this last time was by far my best experience. I got the most amazing laser technician, Pauline, she was FABULOUS. Wish that I could schedule every appt with her. She not only asked me about any problem patches I had but she went above and beyond to get all the hairs that previous people had missed. She also asked me how the hair grew if she needed to expand the area she was lasering, etc. Also made sure I had aloe on before I left and was the sweetest thing ever. Loved her!!!! I got a groupon for one large area (full Brazilian & underarms) and I’m so glad I waited around for a place like Sev to finally pop up in the Bay Area. Comment: I waited and waited for this location to open. (Actually, Ive been waiting for ANY L.A. place to come to the Bay Area and change the ridiculous injectables scene up here). I was so excited when I saw SEV on TV, researched them for my LA trips and found they were opening a SF location. So, I waited until they finally opened, and I called today for an appointment. Unfortunately, theyre only focusing on laser hair removal, and they only have someone come up once a month from L.A. for injectables. It was suggested that I get on Instagram to follow when the injectable nurse will be up here again. Im an adult with a life full of kids, real estate flipping, aging parents across the country, a 50 hr /wk job and couple side jobs. I am way too busy to be bothered with social media chasing some nurse between L.A. and S.F. They had to have known theyd be flooded with business, especially at their prices and good rep in L.A. Wish theyd thought through their business. Looks like Ill find a cheap flight to L.A. and go spend my $1,000 on all my procedures there. Will try them again in 6 months and update my review if appropriate. Hoping to see more dedicated employees for injectables and online booking for these too.
