Comment: I went here twice. First time was for cut and color, second time for color only. My cut ended up being way shorter than I asked for. I wanted shoulder length and it was cut to my chin. Both times they did my color (different students) I had so much color left in my hair. It was washing out for days.I’ve also been to Bellus several times and my experience there is much much better. No color left in the hair, students are more personable and feels like they care more. While Paul Mitchell is closer to my home I’d rather travel a bit for a better experience!

Comment: I normally don’t write reviews but I came in for a balayage and these were the results. I didn’t realize this was how my hair looked until I got home, and I feel like I was lied to by the staff that told me it looked great. Sadly I will not be returning. What was more disappointing was when I called over the phone asking if I could go back for them to fix it they said I would still be charged. Very disappointed.

She gave me competent advice regarding my curlies and treated me professionally. Comment: The only way to get an appointment is in person. They do not answer the phone. When I leave a voicemail for an appointment no one returns my phone call. When I go on the website and request an appointment I get a generic email stating someone will contact me to confirm appointment and no one does. Very frustrating and inconvenient to get an appointment.Been trying to make an appointment. Again no one answers the phone or return phone calls. I have not been there in a year because no way to make an appointment.

Comment: I had my hair colored a week before my wedding and Dayna did a great job. I brought my whole wedding party the morning of wedding day, we had to redo my hair, and 4 of my bridesmaids:( I was very clear on how I wanted mine to look. It was completely flat an hour after styling. Ive since watched videos on how to do it the way I wanted and its looks like it takes more time, maybe that was the problem. My makeup was beautiful, and lasted all day. I will go back for color, and if I needed make up done. But not my hair styled thats why I gave a 3

I really appreciate her advice. Gabrielle also cut my hair a couple days prior and did exactly what I wanted. She was very detailed and made me feel amazing. Comment: Cassie R can be described in one word AWESOME!!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️From the beginning meeting Cassie she was a professional. Her hair makeup dress said Im your groomer because she was beautiful . Her hair makeup dress said Im professional and I can be hired anywhere . Not on her way to a club but showing I know how to do a wedding to a music video shoot. I have thick long hair . Cassie gave me a relaxing scalp massage and the most beautiful blow out . One of her peers asked did Cassie already silk press my hair? It looked finished . At that point she silk pressed my hair perfectly. I was given so many compliments from other clients before I even got out of the chair. She was exceptionally patient because I was apprehensive. She calmed and relaxed me never lost her professionalism or cool . Super sweet super professional. Comment: After a few very disappointing hair mishaps with stylists Ive been going to for years and a new one trying to get me in after five years who ruined it, I decided I needed a change.I decided to think outside the box to determine who might best work on my hair. Almost every salon I go to has stylists who are new and excited to work on hair; until they have been there a while, they get burned out and complacent. So, I decided to try Paul Mitchell School, where everyone is new, eager, and excited to learn and make hair their priority.I went to have my hair repaired and then maintained for about a year at this location and had a great experience every time.One thing that is nice about coming here is that there is always someone overseeing your stylist in training, and if you are ever unpleased with your result, you can have one of the lead stylists do what you want. I never had to have anyone make any changes, and if it werent for a family friend who does my hair now, I would still be coming to this location.I highly recommend the Paul Mitchell School to anyone in the same situation as having a complacent stylist who doesnt listen or do precisely what you want.I only suggest that you make an appointment for their first available time. The new stylists are eager to perfect your hair, so it will take some time. They have vending machines with drinks and snacks, but if you are getting a lot of work done (cut, color, deep condition, style), eat before you come and bring your own snacks.There is a parking lot in the back and paid street parking, so be sure to set your phone alarm to add money so you dont get a ticket.You will get the best attention, maybe even three people working on you simultaneously. It is a discounted price, and you will love that you are helping out the students! By the way, the students are allowed to accept tips, and since you may have multiple people working on your hair, be sure to bring enough tip money to go around!

Comment: 6 months postpartum and it was probably about a year since having a haircut. My hair was starting to feel limp, dry and needed some uplifting. I was recommended to this place by another mom friend and honestly i was a bit nervous as this was a teaching school, but i figured, hair grows back so why not.Cassie was my assigned stylist with the help of the mentor Nikki and another person, i forget what his name was. Cassie was very friendly, listened to what i wanted to do with my hair and always asked if i was ok since the process was lengthy. I just wanted a basic reframe of my face since my layers had grown out, cut off the dead ends and revamp the layers. And she did just that! My hair felt light and refreshed. I also asked to do a scalp treatment and that was really nice. I believe Cassie used a tea tree product and it felt so minty, thats the only way i could describe it and i would do it again! It also included a blow dry and i think between the scalp treatment and blowdrying, i fell asleep multiple times because it felt so soothing.You have to make an appointment and they do accept cash/card however for tip, they tell you the stylist has venmo or apple pay and you may do so that way or cash. There is a paid ACE parking lot on Fifth street or street parking.As a side note, i was not expecting to be there that long, my appt was 530pm and i was done by 8pm. So be mindful of this when making an appointment. They consult with their mentor from time to time and depending on how many students there are with clients, it may take some time. I didn’t mind at all but keep this in mind if you’re watching the clock. Overall, my first experience in getting a cut and style at a beauty school was great but it also it had to do with Cassie being really friendly and easy to talk with and being attentive to what i wanted. I was also able to witness someone graduating and that was nice to see the support and cheers. Thank you!

Comment: Ive been coming here off and on for 15 years, each time is better. The students are amazing and their teachers are fantastic. I think people fail to realize this is a school, if youre getting a service plan to be there a few hours. Ive had highlights take 8 hours but it was worth it. They really do their best. I most recently got low lights from Tyler, he did amazing and is better at foils thenllongterm professionals. Great place.

Comment: I’ve been here twice where Kevin was my learning leader and basically my hair has been messed up both times. He really cannot tell when the cut is even or not. The student was trying but when the learning leader isn’t allowing them to see even from uneven then there’s not much to do about it. Despite me telling him I don’t think both sides are even he proceeded to explain the geometry of my head rather than fix the unevenness. If I decide to ever give this place another chance I will make sure my hair stylist has a different learning leader.

Comment: I am deleting my review for the sake of the students career, but please if you are not interested in learning or dont want to do a good job dont waste your clients time and money. This is not a joke for the client, it maybe for you. If you feel lazy or tired tell your instructor or client, so they can leave or let another student who REALLY LOVES DOING HAIR do it. If you are not passionate about learning spare please go home find another job or passion that you can put your heart into. If you are too tired to do hair but energetic enough to chat to your colleague the entire time you are bleaching delicate hair then clearly you are negligent and you dont deserve to work on anyones hair AT ALL!It was also the fault of the colleague who was chatting up a storm while doing a perm. . It is absolutely disrespectful to the client and your colleague who is trying to focus on bleachingI am a resident surgeon so I have to select cheaper options while I pay back my student loans. Imagine me talking about a party to my colleague while doing an awake liposuction or a cosmetic surgery or lip filler on my patient, the patient would feel absolutely disrespected!

Comment: I enjoyed the experience - observing and chatting with the students - but my hair cut and color were sub par.The teacher came over (not sure why) and cut one side of my hair in the front which turned out different from the side cut by the student - neither resulted in the face framing shape I asked for.I requested all over color with permanent bright purple highlights. What I got was a root touch up with muted pink highlights. The pink dye colored all of my hair so the highlights looked even less pronounced. And then all the pink dye washed out in two weeks. My hair looks OK, that is, it was not ruined, but it certainly was not what I asked for either.I cant really recommend the School as a good place to get what you want although you might have a fun experience.Edit: Just to be clear, customer service was great. The product - cut and color - was the disappointment.

The hair cuts are pretty nice since the students are being supervised by their teachers and cuts are very trendy. Staff are pretty hip and I enjoy the ambiance, and of course the price is very reasonable. I definitely recommend it to anyone.

Two girls did my hair and it was uneven and I know the Instructor noticed and didnt say anything about it.I went the Following week to fix it with Kacee Johnson and she was INCREDIBLE. She is booked until she graduates in December but I loved my hair. Also looksbymely was her instructor and she was so professional and knew a lot about doing blondes. I was lucky to get my hair fixed. Even though it took twice and my hair may be a little more damaged due to the bleach I was Happy and Excited to get what I needed in time for pictures.Just make sure to research or look up PMTSSD On Instagram, sometimes people will post and thats how I found Kacee who saved my hair!!!

(I could be biased because I modeled for The Paul Mitchell company and Angus Mitchell a couple of times, but I promise it has no influence on judgement here!)I needed a hair cut, badly. And a deep conditioning treatment.I was lucky to be paired with Kaylee. She took great care of me. The consult went well, and I was confident that she was proficient and could take care of my long, fine hair.Hair wash was nice and relaxing, followed by the deep conditioning treatment. Next was the hair cut. I decided to change my side part to a middle part, which I was a little nervous about. And then another big leap of faith for me was to get curtain bangs! She was careful and meticulous, always asking if everything looked okay and if I liked where it was going.She styled my hair into cute beach waves, and even gave me a little lesson on how to do it myself!I walked out of there with such a boost in confidence.Paul Mitchell schools are a hidden gem of talented people, at affordable prices for anyone. From the requirement to use an Ace parking lot — where it says “valet” yet I parked my own car and had the pleasure of the guy watching me do my best to leave the spot without bumping other cars — to whoever handling scheduling completing messing up my appointment, I could not stop at how bad the experience getting a haircut at Paul Mitchell on A Street is.I scheduled an appointment for a barber cut on a Saturday online. The online menu of services clearly states a barber cut is $5 and tipping is not encouraged since they are students. I was planning to tip regardless. However, I never got my haircut.Even though your appointment gets confirmed by an actual person rather than a bot, they somehow managed to schedule me for a regular (aka more expensive) haircut and failed to tell me that barbers are only at school on Saturday, not working. So after paying for parking, waiting to be seated — but then learning I was being seat for a different service — I left 15 minutes later with not a millimeter cut off.I normally don’t bother with reviews but felt the need to write this: Do not use Paul Mitchell for a haircut.It will be a waste of your time and money. If you need a cheap cut, try one of the other barbering/cosmetology schools in the area.

Got my hair cut done by the instructor since they wanted to save time as I wanted a perm. No problem with that either, but when I tell her how I wanted it done and she as a teacher lies to my face telling me she cut it straight across with no layers and I come home and look in the mirror and find she did the opposite of what I wanted and would not correct her error letting me leave knowing its messed up that really hit a new low for me.

Comment: I normally don’t write reviews but I wish I had done more research before coming here for a balayage touch up.I came in with a beautiful overgrown balayage expecting a touch up to be simple. I left with orange blotchy hair and my roots not being touched except in some places.I’ll let the photos demonstrate. I’ve included the original right before I went in, my hair now in natural lighting and my hair now in artificial lighting.The stylist was very patient and kind but clearly very out of her depths. I am uncomfortable with the amount of convincing the supervising teacher did as well. The blame was placed on a toner that would “wash out.” It put me in a really difficult situation when it is extremely clear that my hair is ruined. They made me feel like I was overreacting.I am now dealing with the incredibly expensive issue of finding someone to color correct my hair (the entire reason I went to the school was because I could not find a salon with openings in the first place and now I have to go to work with this hair). I’ve been quoted at least 5 hours at $175/hour. I am furious with the school.Update: I keep trying to schedule the satisfaction guarantee appointment (must be scheduled in 7 days from the United appointment) and I cannot get in contact with them.

Comment: I love this Paul Mitchell the school in San Diego, Ive been to many of them and this is by far the best one. They have valet parking for about $6-10 depending on weekend or weekday, even if its full theres plenty of 2hr street parking and parking lots nearby. The teachers here are incredible and very attentive, the students are on point and always happy and eager. Be specific about what you want, especially if you know your hair well let then know what you like and what you dont like. They will accommodate you.

Comment: Having been to Paul Mitchell The School locations in three other states, I can say this is the worst by far. I was looking for a trim and asked the stylist to cut 5-6. She not only ended up cutting off close to 10, but one side was 3 shorter than the other. I didnt notice how lopsided it was until I got home, but wont go back for fear theyll cut off even more length. Im going to have to pay to go to a proper salon to have it fixed, which I shouldve done in the first place.At all the other schools Ive gone to, an instructor checks the progress multiple times. Not here. An instructor came by once to give some guidance but didnt even check that the stylist executed properly. I tend to give students the benefit of the doubt because theyre learning, but if the instructors dont even monitor the styling, its not worth the slight cost savings.

Comment: Having a photo shoot scheduled for 7-17-19, I called the school on 7-16-19. For those wondering, being indecisive is what led me to waiting to the last minute to make an appointment. I went in on 7-17-19 for Makeup application, and Ivory, Student #4233, did an EXCEPTIONAL job.I rarely wear makeup (10 days out of a year, if that) & when I do apply it, i consider mascara and poorly filling in my brows enough! I told Ivory I wanted a natural look. When she was done, I didnt feel natural, because Im used to no makeup, which she brought to my attention, but Im absolutely SO GRATEFUL that she did indeed give me a natural look. My photographer said she couldnt even tell I was wearing makeup! Luckily, the camera picked up just enough to give me the look I desired.Thank you Ivory!

Comment: I feel bad writing a bad review. My hairstylist was super super sweet and nice and made sure she didn’t cut my hair too short. I just feel like since they are all student they are practicing on your hair and it won’t come out as expected as always. I got layers but I have coarse thick hair and the layers I got made my hair look worse. It looked great when they blow dried my hair but after I showered my hair turned to its natural type which is wavy in the middle and straight at the top layer. It looked really bad and now I just want to chop off my hair because I’m so insecure and sad about my hair. I wish I got shorter layers at the top of my hair because my top layer is really straight and dry and I hate it but the rest of my hair is wavy and healthy. I want my waves to pop but they don’t went my top layer is covering the rest of my hair.

Comment: I would not recommend this place, even if you are trying to save money because the end result is not worth it. You will pay more trying to fix what the phase 2 stylist and instructor have botched. I payed to have highlights here and the highlights were blotchy and uneven. The instructors contradict each other. I was mixed a base color by one instructor, and then mixed a completely different base color by another instructor, even after I had explained that I liked the base color result from the first instructor.Unsurprising, it resulted in a muddy dark base color which I did not want, and turned my blond hair a disgusting muddy color as well. They also covered my blond that I had done at another salon, even though I told them not too. Oh and it took the phase 2 stylist 2 hours, (not exaggerating) to do a one color root touch up, and even after the 2 hours my hair was not fully covered after the color was washed out.If you have grey hairs this is not the place for you. They will leave patches of grey hairs even after taking 2.5 hours to apply just to the root.Honestly, very disappointing place, and very disappointing quality of service.

Comment: To be fair, the 1 star is for the instructor who was so knowledgable and kind. I would actually give 0 stars otherwise.I went in for a chemical relaxer/root touch up and hair cut. After arriving, I decided to add flat iron work and a conditioning treatment to my list of services, which would have totaled about $88-$118, depending on the amount product used. I scheduled with a phase 2 student but the girl who was assigned to my hair had trouble answering basic questions from the instructor (such as Why do we need to know where the client parts her hair?). I was a little uneasy at that point about how something like that was difficult to answer for a phase 2 student but I was wiling to continue because the whole process was significantly cheaper than a Brazilian Keratin Treatment I had been considering and I also do like and use Paul Mitchell products.After the student had been instructed to apply a scalp protectant all over my scalp in small sections, she made this comment:... all this because I raised my hand to doing a relaxer on Tuesday and sounded somewhat annoyed. The other student assisting her, who was working on applying scalp protectant to the other side of my head, then said Lucky for us in a very snide, rude and sarcastic tone. I sat there for about 5 minutes after debating what to do, wanting to give this place a chance because of how great the instructor was but I decided I could not spend my money AND have to tip this person who made me feel like a burden. Also, if this is the attitude the girl had towards learning something new and dealing with textured hair, I didnt want to risk walking out of there with no head of hair while she just mindlessly shrugged her shoulders.I then asked the girls to stop and if I could speak to the instructor and explained to her what happened. She was very understanding and apologetic, and offered to wash out the scalp treatment for me. At that point, I was just ready to get out of there because I was so disappointed.I felt bad saying anything because I didnt want to get anyone in trouble as it could have been just nerves talking but that was totally unacceptable to have that sort of demeanor, attitude and honestly just snottiness towards a customer. (And I previously worked in customer service for YEARS before an office job, so Ive dealt with my fair share)Im a very secure person with who I am and I like myself - whether my hair is freshly done or a little past due for a cut. I truly hope in the future that this girl doesnt pull something like this in front of someone who isnt confident or is insecure about their hair texture or appearance - rude comments and snobby attitudes like that can cause lasting damage. Its hard enough out here to be a female as is and you shouldnt be made to feel worse (by another woman at that!) when youre spending your time and money to better yourself.Truly appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the instructor (she had a really short hair cut, brown hair, didnt catch her name unfortunately). I hope those two students (who I will not name/embarrass) actually learn from their instructor and take some of that same kindness and professionalism with them before they start working in the real world.

Comment: I was there waiting for someone. While I was waiting I noticed they botched up this poor girls hair. Instead of color, they stripped it of color. When the gurl started to question it, they said they had to close and couldnt fix it. The girl kept trying to get an explanation and all they did was ignore her while the other teachers and students snickered. A little later 2 people (maybe her parents) came in to talk to management and they calmly asked how they were going to correct their mistake and this little guy (think his name is tony) just said they were refuse service because the client cursed them all out. That was an outright lie. After she tried to get explanations and they said they couldnt fix it because they were closing, she walked away and while looking at her phone said this is fng, ridiculous. Thats much less than most women would say or do if they messed up their hair that badly and just received, shruggs, rolling eyes and snickering. They even asked this tony kid if he thought that was proper customer service and he just shrugged with a face that plainly said not my problem, I dont care. The customer finally left and the laughter, cursing and making fun of the situation just ran like fire between all of the students, teachers management etc. I even heard 1 girl say to the stylist why were you teasing her hair and processing it like That? The stylist just laughed. After experiencing this, I nor my girlfriend will ever go there again and will warn all our friends and family about what a mess this place is and how completely unprofessional and poorly spoken these people are. If this is what students are learning, beware...when did it become the customers responsibility to be the expert in hair and no longer the stylist responsibility? They should know what will work and what wont but obviously this school teaches nothing about business, customer service or styling. Its very obvious by who they hire there

I was told to try Paul Mitchell school and the students there would help me out. However, I didn’t know much about the school and decided to research the reviews and in pop Ms. Drea’s Name on a majority of the reviews! This woman rocked my hair and I couldn’t be happier!! I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone! She is A force to be reckoned with, not only with hair, but she is creatively in tuned with music, writing the works! Comment: I was a Cosmetology Student at this school many years ago. Two weeks before I was set to graduate, an anoying male front reception clerk made up a lie about me. Without even taking my side of the story into account, they kicked me out of thier cosmetology program and expelled me. In addition, I had already paid all the tuition up front in cash. I took a $20,000.00 shot to the gut in a bad economy. To make matters worse, Paul Mitchell and Associates used their operatives at the State Board of Cosmetology to sabatoge my exam twice after I did graduate from another California Cosmetology Program. I am still upset years later over this blatant theft of a great opportunity that I paid full price for. My best advice is beware of this PM School San Diego and read the fine print of the Paul Mitchell Student Contract. They can easily leverage you for what ever bogus reason they desire and cheat you out of your education and subsequent career without notice. It has been very upsetting.

I love the hair treatment i got oh god my hair smelled so good and was so soft i could cry. I booked my appointment on a day i knew their instructor Cynthia would be there bc she is an amazing and talented instructor (i honestly will only go in on days cynthia is there bc i trust her 100% in guiding and coaching the girls) i love how comfortable they make me feel and i dont even think of them as students i see them as girls who love what they do and are there to get better at what they do. The toner picked up waaay to much at the end but cynthia coached ali and katie in how to fix it ASAP and i mean ASAP. I left smiling as last and no doubt about me coming back. These girls are amazing seriously. Get the hair treatment youll love it!Ali did so good every step and katie her helper is just an angel and i would go with both girls on any day! Comment: I was really nervous about getting my hair done at a beauty school, but my friend Megan had started doing hair there and I took the leap. Everything was excellent from the get go, Megan explained everything that we were going to do very thoroughly and let me know that she needed to report back to her learning leader with each steps with made me feel more confident that I was going to get a great cut. From the shampoo and conditioner to the blow out, straight iron and actual cut, Megan was very meticulous in everything she did. For my first appointment she made me feel very confident in her abilities to cut my crazy damaged curly hair. We ended up taking 5 1/2 inches off and it has been the best damn haircut I have had in a long time. I came in on a Wednesday and it was great. These before and after pictures should be a testament to Megans skills to cut curly coarse hair. I went in again on Saturday and got a relaxer put in, the customer service and overall experience was great and I will be back in the future!

My recent visit cost me double what I was originally told because the learning leader decided to do something additional to my hair without letting me know about the cost of it. Additionally, the final color of my hair was not what was discussed and shown, just what the learning leader thought was right. I truly enjoy coming here to give students the experience, but my recent trips indicate that it is not worth the headache.

I hadnt had my hair cut in a super long time, but she was able to get rid of all my split ends and dead hair while maintaining length. Yesterday I came back in to get my hair dyed and she did a terrific job as I would expect based on her previous work. She and all the other students and learning leaders I have met in my two visits have all been super sweet and courteous. They do a great job of explaining their process, asking questions about your what you want out of their hair cuts and styling services, and making professional recommendations. Ive already scheduled my net appointment and would highly recommend Miachealyn and the school in general to anyone!

Comment: I started getting my hair done here about 7 months ago and I come every 4 – 6 weeks.I get a PM Shine rinse, the Awapuhi treatment, a trim and a blowout. It typically costs about $100 plus I tip – Great deal!!I started out seeing Nina. She is the sweetest girl and she did a great job. Before she graduated she introduced me to Stephanie and told me to make my next appointment with her. Stephanie does an exceptional job too! She told me her goal is that my hair looks so good when I walk out that I could go straight out to a party. And she is meticulous with the color application – very clean work.It’s very easy to make an appointment. The Paul Mitchell school is huge & it’so much happening when you walk in. But don’t be overwhelmed! They do a great job for a really low cost using great Paul Mitchell products. They are students and may take a little longer – but I have had great experiences.

She helped me step out of my comfort zone and try an ombre lob. Never in my life have I had the courage to go short, mostly because I think my head is too big. But I must say, I loved it! I love my new makeover and have gotten so many compliments. Everyone was so nice there, even the instructors. By only recommendation is to go when you have plenty of time. It does take a while and is a process but it is well worth it!

Comment: I have went here twice! Ive had a bayalage done which isnt even finished and my hair is beautiful! Ive gotten a cut as well a few weeks after and its perfection. I have curly hair and typically my hair would of been hard after washing and unmanageable but its so soft after their recommendations to use awapuhi conditioner. I do not remember who did my hair both times unfortunately BUT all of them have a great level of knowledge. They dont do anything to your hair unless the professors are there to oversee their next step. I recommend this school to everyone!

MirrorSmooth on fine hair is not the way to go! I know theyre learning and I enjoyed my time with her personally but expected a bit more.

Comment: I came to PMTS-SD first as a guest. I received just a basic shampoo, and blowdry/style. I was first impressed by how hospitable and attentive the staff were at the check-in desk. They were polite, and very welcoming. When the Future Professional who was assigned to me came over, it was a very basic, but nice, and personalized greeting. She asked me to confirm if I was her guest, and after complying, she proceeded to ask if I wanted any refreshments. I was then given a quick tour of the school service area, as we were walking to the station where she was located. She and I started with small talk, but then I was taken aback by how in depth she asked about my hairs history, and my daily activities to figure out what style would best suite me. I couldnt believe that for a simple shampoo/style they cared so much about my hair and image. I was then introduced to her instructor and we went through most of the same. I received a wonderful head and neck massage from her during the shampoo/rinse, so much so that I almost did not want to get out of the shampoo bowl. We then proceeded back to her station and went ahead with the blowdry/style. She seemed very competent, and needed no direction from her fellow Future Professionals or instructors. When I left I felt that all of my needs were met to a T. Even more than that, I ended up becoming a student myself, shortly after. Now, I have just recently finished my 1600 hours at Paul Mitchell the School - San Diego, and am very thankful for the other Future Professionals, the staff, and the Learning Leaders for giving me such a well rounded education. Ever since the service I received, I strived to attain giving that much joy, and wonderful feeling to all of my own guests. This institution of learning is more than just a school, it is a family, a network of people who have come together, and decided that despite any personal odds they may be facing, each and every day, while still learning, they will try their best to touch not only the hair of every guest, but their hearts, in the sense of making them feel no less than the person they truly are. My husband is a USMC Officer and San Diego is his first duty station. Once we moved here I decided that I would go ahead and start my Masters Degree. As I was completing the process to begin my Masters degree, I discovered that there was a Paul Mitchell school right in downtown San Diego. I have always wanted to obtain a cosmetology license, and I knew that I needed to do something that I absolutely loved.The admission team is phenomenal, the financial team is unparalleled, and the education is beyond compare, I can not even begin to tell you how many networking opportunities there are here. As a student you work with some of the best in this industry and our learning leaders are amazing at building both your skills and confidence. You can choose to attend day school (Tuesday-Saturday 9:30-5:00pm) or night school (Monday-Thursday 5:00-10:00pm). We have guest artist every Tuesday (this past Tuesday I served as a model for the amazingly talented makeup artist, Sally Wang).Truthfully, I had no idea what to expect as a student but it has been great so far. Comment: Great place for cheap prices. As a guy I dont require much work on my hair, but its nice to go to a place that is cheap but does a good job. I usually always go to the level 2 students, and get a nice head and neck massage. On Fridays they stop in the middle of working and all get together in the middle of the room floor to dance. Fun place.
