Comment: I just had my first laser appointment ever on 05/22/24 and I was initially a bit nervous but my entire experience was so seamless, the staff took all of my worries away. Jessica at the front desk was soooo lovely and knowledgeable about their services and helpful with all of the questions I had. Theyre having a sale at the moment, so naturally she was upselling and Im fine with that as its part of her job to do so. Good for her because she actually got me, the sale is too good to refuse haha. Once I got into the room with Nurse Angie, she was really great and made me feel comfortable in this totally new process for me. She even gave me good advice based on what she overheard me speaking to the front desk woman about if I were to decide to add on those services. From top to bottom, the customer service was great and Im excited to start seeing results as I continue through the process. :)

Comment: I have been a loyal customer at laseraway for YEARS but will never be returning. I have not always gotten the very best results from injections but Ive overlooked that because of how reputable I thought they were. Recently, I had 40 units of Botox injected, and I had almost NO results. I am 26 years old, it does not take that much Botox to work for me. That is the most I have ever gotten and it should have had my forehead FROZEN. In addition to that, I used .7 of my syringe of filler and they had ASSURED me that the .3 would not expire no matter how long I waited, which sounded odd to me considering thats never been the case before. I got reassurance on this TWICE, however when I went to book an appointment for it, they were trying to upsell me on MORE filler. I bought more filler, but tried to only make an appointment using only the .3 I supposedly had left. They told me it had in fact expired in which case I stated I wanted a refund for the NEW filler I had purchased and hadnt used yet. They have been giving me the runaround on refunding my money for a week now, to the point where I just had to go through my bank to dispute the charge. Christian from the DTLA location is supposedly the only one who can process this since he sold it to me, however I have given him three chances to call me back when Ive called in over and over again and its just not happening. Totally giving me the run around and this is unacceptable!

Comment: The LaserAway DTLA shop does not use regular clock, time somehow becomes a more vague and abstract concept than it already is once you enter this shop.One time I was caught up in traffic and I called ahead of time to say I’m sorry I might be late for 5-10 mins. And they said it’s OK no worries.Then I showed up late for 12 mins in total, and the front desk person, said to me, “well your appointment is canceled cuz you are LATE”.I said I called and you said it’s ok?He said, well you said 5-10 and now it’s more than that, no?I had to admit, I panicked, cuz yes, it is 2 mins more than I said, they are very meticulous and attentive to details, that, I don’t expect. “Should I just leave in this dead silence…it is very awkward” I said to myself.But very dramatically, the front desk staff somehow said, ok but maybe I can squeeze you in later just wait here. Eventually I got my session but I was not happy. I felt like a kid getting spanked for misbehaving...If I could do the trade offs, I would’ve lived happily with my underarm hair this time instead of trying to get rid of them for all these experiences…it’s a lot of stress…BUT, I learned my lessons, I always do, I’m an A+ student.I started to always show up right on time or at least 5-10 mins early for LaserAway DTLA.And guess what, their laseraway clock works differently when you show up early.They would keep me waiting for 10mins, 20 mins, or 30mins, and tell me when I arrive that “ We are just a clinic and stuff running behind sometimes can you just go out for a walk?”Unfortunately, this is no resort in Hawaii.It is downtown Los Angeles.Where am I supposed to go for a walk?And who just WALKs AROUND here alone & hanging out?So I wait, every time. Cuz I paid.And there is no way to get my money back unless I suck all this in and get the treatment.And if I tell them I am upset, they will say it very calmly that: ”Do you have somewhere else to be? You wanna just reschedule?”Ok I knew I look broke and that my time worths zero dollars, but I didn’t know it was that obvious. Or it’s just the LazerAway DTLA’s time is more valuable than anybody else’s… that’s a philosophical question.Just another glorious day in beautiful Los Angeles my friends.Be kind to your underarm hair, cuz it’s the only thing that won’t be rude to you in this cold cold world. ( it will always come back for free too)

When I went in for my laser hair removal appt I was told that because my hair is blonde they could not do the laser hair removal on my face. I then asked for a refund since I now couldnt even use a service I had already paid for and they refused to reimburse me. Huge SCAM, do NOT go here!

Comment: I just got off the phone with LaserAway. What a joke! I saw their ad on Instagram that advertised 70% off hair removal treatments. I filled out a form and they texted me about scheduling a phone consultation. I asked about the pricing right away and they said that the discount will be discussed during the appointment. They refused to tell me what their regular price was before the call. That was really a red flag, but I though that I should check it out anyways to see if I was wrong. It turns out that I wasnt)During my consultation it was revealed that their bikini price is almost $400 per 1 session!! I was so shocked I didnt even remember the exact price) The discount applied only if you got 8+ treatments in a package. But the discounted price would still be several times higher than the average price for the same treatment in Los Angeles. Please do your research and dont fall for this scam!I dont know who came up with this strategy but I bet they are going to loose some clients because of it. Im definitely never going to LaserAway!

Chris will call you immediately after a survey, which can come across as confronting or responsive.I had a bad experience with one nurse, but Jessica immediately set up a redo session - and I was never matched with the nurse again. They were also responsive when I gave honest feedback about the upselling. However, it is the business model.Nurses Angie and Melissa are excellent.Staff did change my appointment without notifying me of the changes before inputing it into their computer - twice. Shifting the appointment by 15 minutes was not too much of an issue except I made the appointment to work with a specific, trusted nurse. A completely different nurse was sprung on me at the appointment.The sales and pricing practices are aggressive. The service is generally good, but the constant selling is intense.Overall what makes their practices uncomfortable: They do not give you a price until you contract for services. They do not tell you up front how many sessions your package includes, before you purchase. They give a range. They will try to sell you multiple other packages before allowing you to learn whether the service you have already paid for works or can verify there are no adverse affects. When you break down the per session cost after their discount, each session costs significantly more than the going rate for Los Angeles. Additionally, they will change your appointment in their notification system without consulting you.

Comment: I have had one of problems due to poor communication, I requested a refund with the bank that approved my credit because I did not receive the services the 2 times I arrived, since the salesperson (Clara) did not schedule space for all my treatments, the bank did not received all the refund money and now it turns out that they are charging me interest, and no one from laser away told me that there was still an outstanding balance, the seller Clara stopped answering my messages, but when I wanted to sell she sent me daily. They look very professional but they have terrible communication when solving problems and informing you of the account balance and thus avoiding those inconveniences with my credit record. Im still waiting for a response, Ive spent more time talking to get a resolution and nothing!

I a procedure done and went so wrong elsewhere on my skin ( not Laseraway), and Laseraway DTLA has been helped correct and reverse the results of that bad treatment with the Clear & Brilliant. I LOVE this procedure! Im just as pleased with my hair removal. Its still ongoing, but hair has stopped growing in certain areas treated, like my armpits and bikini area. Jessica is so Amazing and is always super sweet and so helpful! So is the rest of the staff up front and the clinical staff! Sorry for not remembering all your names, but are just as welcoming, nice, and helpful and professional! Ill be 50 this year, and when people ask me my age, they never believe me. Comment: Today I went to LaserAway Downtown LA to get lip fillers. As soon as I walked in through the door, I was greeted with a smile by Mauricio. He was so sweet, complimented my jacket and made me feel welcomed right away. Waited no more than 10 min in the waiting area and then Mauricio escorted me into a private room where I was given a generous amount of numbing cream. As I waited for the cream to take affect, I sat comfortably in a cushioned retractable examination chair and watched a movie. Shortly after, I was greeted with enthusiasm by Nurse Nathalie and was escorted to another room, where Nurse Genie was present for observations. Nurse Nathalie took her time in explaining the process, was thorough with her examination, and talked me through every step. Nurse Nathalie was attentive, confident, and calm, but most of all, receptive to feedback and would apply it immediately! Nurse Genie was proactive, gave helpful tips & suggestions, gently wiped my occasional tear down my cheek with care, and was overall, encouraging to both Nurse Nathalie and I! I was constantly being checked up on, reminded to breathe, and updated on my progress. The session was so smooth, I was in and out within 45 min! Altogether, I had an amazing experience and I highly recommend this location for your needs! Beyond happy and satisfied with how JUICY & POPPIN’ my lips look! 👄Thank you so much LazerAway DTLA for the wonderful service!

Anyways, I went to the downtown location on 810 San Francisco and the staff was nice and I did 8 treatments. however, after my last treatment my hair grew back so fast and even though it’s been less hair there’s still a lot of hair as though I never got laser treatment. I got the full Brazilian and under arm package for about $2,000. My Brazilian area is still full as though I did not get laser treatment. Now I know laser treatment is not permanent but the way they explained it to me was not the results I got. So I had to pay off that loan this month and I’m still not satisfied :/

Comment: Read the consent forms while on the phone with the rep and don’t let them convince you to just check all the boxes.My situation: The rep did not inform me that being prone to keloids was an issue but while I was reading the consent forms I saw one that was a warning about Keloids and inquired about it.Ultimately my solution, knowing that I’m prone to keloids and being unsure if the laser would cause keloids, was that I’d wait to be cleared by a doctor 1st because I do not want my skin damaged.The rep was a bit annoyed but what bothered me is that she had no concern or care about me being cleared by a doctor first. Her response was, “they do the procedures only based on what the patient says and if I’m prone to keloids they can’t see me,” which felt like I was some what being pressured to just sign and give consent, “or else.”From my perspective if they want to remove any chance of liability wouldn’t a patient being cleared by a physician be a necessity and ideal?I also asked about botox, and after asking for 2 pictures but no in person evaluation, she immediately sent me an invoice to pay before booking an appointment but this time she didn’t mention the consent forms. It seemed as though the primary goal was to secure my money before I read the consent forms, which honestly raised a lot of concerns, and made me realize I need to do more research about the company and procedures 1st because the consent forms and the rep not being thorough made me doubt their process.

Comment: My entire experience at the Santa Monica and DTLA Laser Away locations have only felt like a waste of time, money, and trust. Its very ironic to me that a brand based around empowering women has made me feel so taken advantage of. No amount of girlboss vibes they infuse their marketing with can make up for the fact that they dont care about the people paying and putting their trust in them to perform medical procedures.I am concerned by the incredibly low standard that Laser Away clinicians are held to. There have been issues with all but one of my several treatments. The clinicians are not trained well enough to provide consistent and safe procedures. I feel incredibly violated that Laser Away, a MEDICAL OFFICE, has gotten away with repeatedly performing the wrong treatment on my face, and their customer service refuses to offer a sufficient resolution.Regardless of the time and money Ive personally wasted at Laser Away, I am most concerned by how untrained their clinical staff are. I would not recommend that anyone seek their services unless they are prepared to risk improperly administered and potentially unsafe medical procedures.My experience with Laser Away over the years is long and complicated, but here are the highlights of my experience:- I purchased a package of 9 Clear and Brilliant treatments in 2019. I was told at the time that this treatment targeted skin tone improvements. I received 7 treatments from 2019 and 2021. After my 7th treatment, I received a promotional email from Laser Away saying that Clear and Brilliant can be performed targeting tone and texture at the same time instead of individually . I was never told there were two options for Clear and Brilliant, so I called customer service to confirm that I was receiving the correct treatment that targeted tone improvements. It turned out that the clinicians had been using the texture option for all but one of my treatments. The only reason why one of the treatments was performed correctly was because the clinician asked me if I wanted to target tone or texture at the beginning of my appointment. I was not asked this in any of my prior appointments, nor was I informed that I would need to specify this at each treatment. My desire to target tone should have been noted in my files, or clinicians should be trained to ask every client about their goals before each treatment. Ultimately, 6 of the 9 treatments I received were not what I paid for and did not address my concerns with my skin due to the negligence of the staff.- In one of my first treatments the clinician skipped the area between my eyebrows. This was an area I specifically mentioned that I wanted to be treated in my initial consultation. The clinician skipped this area due to the placement of the eye shield, however there are other types of eye shields available that would allow them to treat this area. The clinicians should know which one to use to administer treatments properly. Ever since this experience, I have had to remind clinicians what parts of my face I specifically wanted to be treated and ask them to use the proper eye shield that will allow for the treatment to be applied correctly. It should not be the job of the customer to supervise the clinician during a medical procedure.- An attempted resolution for my 6 improperly administered Clear and Brilliant treatments was one IPL treatment to see how I liked it. During this procedure, I not only had to prompt the clinician to use the proper eye shield, but they also forgot to cover my eyebrows, resulting in a chunk of my eyebrow getting signed off. I was later informed by a customer service associate that clinicians are supposed to tape over your eyebrows before the procedure to prevent this from happening. Once again, it should not have been my job to supervise my clinician to perform all the necessary steps for administering a procedure safely. Time will tell if my eyebrow grows back properly or not.

Comment: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I sent an inquiry to website for laser hair removal services and got a call back within minutes. I spoke with Rita Boukidjian who quickly made an appointment and took my payment. Unfortunately, during my appointment for upper lip and under arms the nurse let me know I was not booked for under arms. She left the room a for a while and returned only to tell me that I was booked for lips and chin. When I asked the front desk staff for clarification they were unable to give me any information or give me an explanation of any sort. I was assured that they would review the error and call me back to reschedule once they knew what had happened. I e-mailed Rita that evening to inform her of the incident and asked her to confirm with the clinic the services I had booked. I was able to get in touch with a member from another region who tried to help me but was unable to do much other than push for Rita to respond to me since she is not in the same region and unfortunately I am not her client. Almost a week went by before I got any response and when we spoke on the phone she said she had not seen her emails in a few days and instead of acknowledging a mistake was done with my order. The response I received form Rita was that I must have MISUNDERSTOOD her. Then she let me know Laser Away does not offer the package I thought I had booked and that for my inconvenience she could do me the favor of letting me do one or the other. I asked for a refund and she said Laser Away does not give refunds but that she would inquire. This was last week and I am still waiting to hear back. So I advise you to spare yourself the trouble of dealing with unresponsive, unprofessional people.

Comment: My laser hair removal treatment was so expensive, was lead to believe my package included numbing, which I desperately needed because it was unbearably painful. Paid an extra $150 to add on numbing, which barely did anything. Almost a thousand dollars later, and 8 sessions, I still have a substantial amount of hair on my underarms, even though my hair is very dark, and thick, which is apparently ideal for laser removal. I will not be booking additional appointments with them, because their laser scares me. I’m so glad I found a different, better, less painful clinic to get treatments from.Also, they try to upsell you on additional treatments on your visits, which is annoying.

Comment: I love this place! TAMIKA (I hope I spelled her name right) is so lovely and welcoming. She did my Juvederm XC and let me tell you she did a fascinating job! She is very professional and confident about how she works. I felt very comfortable with her doing my Brazilian. I hope I get her for my next session because she satisfied the way I wanted my treatment. It felt like she knew where to laser as if I was doing it myself. The receptionists are so friendly and they listen to what you need and don’t make you feel like they are trying to sell you something you don’t need. I received a good discount for my treatment. Overall the visits are always spectacular. Cant wait for my next!!

Comment: I was initially impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They answered many questions and the process for Cool Sculpting seemed easy enough. I was told I would see 20% reduction in the treatment area.I had a follow-up some time later and showed no results. I was advised to purchase another treatment. I explained that I wasnt comfortable paying several thousand dollars more for a treatment that already showed no results. I was also told that a regional representative was responsible for handling this matter and that she would contact me. For various reasons, I wasnt given a number to contact on this matter.A month later - no representative has phoned me. And no results from using the Cool Sculpting procedure. I appreciate their friendly smiles, but for a few thousand dollars payment I expect results AND a representative to communicate with me on the matter.Not standing behind a product and not communicating with the customer when that product fails isnt even worth 1 star.

Comment: LOVED how easy and nearly painless the process was! I got a great deal by taking advantage of their end of year discounts on treatments. After years of waxing, I am SO surprised by how fast the process is each treatment and it is much less painful than waxing. Best of all, no soreness after you leave! I would recommend to anyone.
