Comment: Service works, however, the customer service is a joke. I got tattoo removal, one nurse hit the entire tattoo when it was supposed to be a specific area. Ruined about $800 worth of work. Their suggestion was for me to upgrade my package to continue working on the entire tattoo. Later the manager agreed to upgrade my package at no additional cost since this was their fault. 3 sessions later the customer service guy harassed me saying I asked for this upgrade and if I didn’t pay then they needed to cancel my package. We canceled my package I was able to get a partial refund but they wouldn’t refund the remaining numbing cream sessions because “it was too hard to understand the cost”.Lesson learned, regardless of how much pain you’re in watch what area they are working on

I did, and as of now, no reply at all....# Story:I went to Laseraway last year when I purchased my 3 sessions on Groupon. Dealing with the staff was not a really pleasant experience, as far as I can remember.Now I am in the market to go to laser hair removal again, and not to my surprise, its the same. :(All they care about is selling me a package. Multiple LaserAway staff reached out to me via text when I wanted to buy something:- You want the full package to enjoy the results, or- our machine is the best in the market!.Pretty good marketing skills, I should say.I did my research, and I figured there are Nd:YAG and Alexandrite lasers available. When I asked them which laser I received, I got wrong answer. One person said You are going to be treated with Nd:YAG for laser hair removal, since thats the technology we have and another person said No. I am not sure who told you that, because Nd:YAG is only for tattoo removal. We dont even use it for laser hair removal. Yes, you read it right! They dont know what they are talking about. So, I asked for the manager to get her words on this. Of course, this was not easy. I had to call couple of times, when the other staff stopped responding to me (they were texting me to sell me stuff). Finally, I had to change my number to reach them...Finally, when I got in contact with the manager, I figured why other reviewers were so right about this place... No one knows what is going on.... even the manager told me Yeah we have all the laser technologies, while she was not sure what they are called. When I asked which one is used for laser hair removal, she said Hmm... I am not sure about that, but I can assure you we are the best in the market So, as you may guess, I insisted on knowing which laser hair removal technique was used for me, and she said Hold on.. Let me check something. And after 1 minute on hold, she confirmed that I was treated with Nd: YAGAlso, I asked to access my information to see which laser technology and the setting is used:1- They refused to tell me which laser technology was used on me, and refused to release my medical history (asked me to wait until corporate reaches out to me, since it is against their policy to share it with the patient)2- refused to give me corporate phone number, and they said they have no reach out to you. Thats our policy. Corporate has reached out to me and asked that I need to pay $10 to get my personal health information.So overall, I recommend checking other places. There are nicer places in SF Bay Area that do laser hair. Do some research :)

There has been multiple times where they see me 30 minutes to an HOUR later to what i originally scheduled. For example, I’m scheduled at 2pm they don’t see me until 2:45pm. On top of that I call to schedule upper and lower legs and arms. When I walk in they tell me they only have time to only do one body part, even though I was scheduled to do more body parts. I wouldn’t recommend this location because their scheduling is so unorganized. However, I want to give a shout out to Nurse Shelby for being so kind.

The rates are very reasonable and offer good special deals. I never wait for an appointment which I appreciate due to my busy schedule.Theres a lot to consider when trusting your face and body to cosmetic procedures (they offer many more than those listed above). If the treatments are done improperly the results can be very traumatic for the patient. I trust LaserAway and Ive had very good, painless and consistent results. After years of wanting this, months of research and budgeting, and days of talking with Laser Away consultants, who answered my every question with the most kindness and understanding, I finally was able to do it. I am extremely happy with how I was treated. Josie from the front desk checked me in and gave me a run down of what I would experience as well as a summary of their own treatments. I was incredibly nervous because I have a low pain tolerance but I felt assured that everything would be okay after speaking with Josie. Marielle was my nurse/technician and they was the absolute sweetest! They was extremely professional, kind, and helpful. Marielle informed me of all the steps they would be taking and checked with me frequently if I was okay. I was nervous for no reason because I felt NOTHING - no pain, whatsoever. I understand every body is different but I was so surprised at how well the treatment went. I so look forward to seeing the results as well as continuing with future sessions. Thank you all!

Comment: My first experience getting laser hair removal left me coming back for more! I was initially skeptical and nervous about the pain so I started with the upper lip and underarms. It was completely tolerable so I went in and did Brazilian and face next. The nurses who helped me both times were attentive and careful. The process and aftercare treatment was explained thoroughly and I felt safe as they checked on my tolerance level throughout. Overall, the staff were professional, patient, kind, and friendly. I can’t wait to be back to complete all sessions! Maybe my full body next?!

I am someone who has low pain tolerance and having expressed that during the beginning of the session, she made sure to check in on me throughout the process to make sure that the treatment was tolerable. I’m already impressed by the results even after one session and can’t wait to finish the rest of my package. All in all, the staff at LaserAway was knowledgable and friendly. Comment: Laser Away completely scammed me. Please be aware that this company will do whatever they can to take your money and do not stay true to their word.I originally went in for IPL to remove a small area of red spots (broken capillaries) between my eyebrows and was convinced to try Clear & Brilliant instead. I purchased a pack of 6 Clear & Brilliant facials and they told me if I was unhappy with C&B, I could swap them for IPL interchangeably without additional cost. Ive had 3 sessions of C&B and have seen zero results and they refuse to swap them in for IPL. Im livid because I was initially interested in IPL and I would not have purchased this package unless I could swap them. I have seen 3 other doctors (at different clinics) about fixing my problem area and all of them confirmed that IPL would fix my issue. They also mentioned that C&B is the weakest and least effective laser out there.I also received botox and expressed that I wanted it to look natural. The nurse completely froze my face and it changed the shape of my eyebrows. I looked weird for 3-4 months. Thank got botox is temporary.Im finishing my C&B treatment only because its non refundable. After that, I will not be returning. The lies, unprofessionalism, and shoddy work has convinced me to go to a clinic with an actual doctor/dermatologist on staff. Do yourself and your wallet a favor, and look elsewhere for your laser facial needs.

On my first visit they upsold me on a pricey 3-time package, telling me my tattoo would require at least 3 treatments if not more.I just came in for my third visit. I waited 30 minutes after my appointment time because they were running late, despite them asking me to arrive a few minutes early. Then the nurse sent a photo to the doctor and told me my tattoo was now too light to treat (after about 10 more minutes of waiting).This whole process is ridiculously inefficient— why do I have to wait at the clinic for them to decide whether I’m treatable when I could just sent a photo to them in advance?Oh, and the icing on the cake is that my expensive 3x package that they insisted I pay for may not be refundable, even though they decided I’m not eligible for a third treatment. Customer service has to “review” my case for a few weeks to decide; and what reason do they have to decide in my favor?This place has bad reviews for a reason. They don’t respect your time or money. Steer clear.

I am writing this review to describe the whole process of them selling or actually pushing me to try a service to the worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my whole life . Please Please talk to your dermatologist or a skin professional before taking their clear and brilliant treatment than trusting what their employees say .I was taking laser treatments with laseraway and they are so consistent while selling their service . I enquired about clear and brilliant treatment and their representative Mollie sold me the service with so much conviction and that how amazing it is and will do wonders to my skin . I was a little hesitant to try it out and she again in a way pushed me to try it with a promise if this didnt work out for me theyll offer me a refund for the treatment . After first treatment my skin was left sand papery like it was burnt and I understand it was suppose be like that for couple of weeks . I didnt see any improvement after months and infact my skin turned very dry and coarse from this . I went to Mollie and said I want to stop the treatment because its not working for me . She again pushed me to try couple of more treatments and if this time again it didnt work out for me shell refund me the money for the treatment . Again, no wonders, my skin felt worse than ever for months . I had to get skin peels and facials to get the texture back . I consulted skin professionals then and they told me that clear and brilliant will do nothing for me . If Mollie had not promised me that it does wonders and Ill get my money back I would have never opted for the service the second time . After the second treatment and consulting other skin professionals I decided to stop the treatment . When I reached out to laseraway for my refund I was a horrible experience . They kept telling me that someone will reach out to me regarding refund and no one did . This went on for 2 weeks after me reaching out over calls and emails . I even asked laseraway to have Mollie call me but she kept dodging my calls . She never called me back even after calling laseraway everyday to have her give me a call. The people at laseraway kept telling me that shell call back but for 2 weeks no call . Their representative Katrina reached out to me for the refund for treatment for the leftover service . She was barely following up for my concerns and kept telling me it was an elective service so she cant refund me my money for the treatments I took . I understand it is an elective service and I told her that they can charge me for the first service but for second service I told laseraway that it has ruined my skin but only took it because Mollie promised me the refund . She didnt acknowledge their employees false claims and promises or took any ownership or responsibility . If its an elective service then please at least train your employees to not promise false claims to your clients or lie to them . I wont recommend laseraway to any one and will tell my friends and family .

Im glad I did cause they were so kind and prepared for me before I got there!!!!! They were welcoming and informative and I was a little scared when it came to actually sticking the needle through but Pete was SO SO kind and just reassured me. I will definitely come back if I want another piercing or tattoo!!!! The friendly welcoming atmosphere was reason enough to come back, but their talent and experience is very evident!!

Comment: If I could give -5 stars I would. This place is a cash cow and cares much more about your money than the services they provide. I would advise that you look literally anywhere else.I had a virtual consultation for CoolSculpting with Austin Bellach, a “treatment specialist” per his email signature. The consultation went very well and I felt very confident in his recommendations. Namely, he recommended I get four applicators for sculpting on my middle abdomen and flanks and that the price would be $4,500 — with the 25% seasonal discount. He recommended that I have two sessions ($4,500 x 2 = $9,000) but I declined and elected to just do one session. He was insistent that I do the second session but I remained steadfast in my decision. The intake portion from there on out went smoothly and next thing you know, I was booked to come in.Fast forwarding a bit, on the day of my appointment, I showed up on time but the front desk person, Natalia, was a little late. I heard laughter from nurses in the back but there was no one up at the front to check me in. Admittedly, I initially didn’t pay this much mind as I was excited about the procedure. Natalia arrived and checked me in. Within minutes, a nurse, Susie, comes from the back and takes me to an operating room.Susie was very kind although it was evident that she didn’t read the notes Austin allegedly wrote in my chart as she thought the CoolSculpting was solely on my abdomen. I explained that I had discussed with Austin that the procedures were to be done to my abdomen and flanks to which she agreed. Upon an assessment of my body with another nurse whose name I forget, they deemed Austin’s recommendations insufficient and said a different type of applicator would need to be used. The catch is that the different applicator is TWICE as much.Natalia came in the room to explain the costs and different options I had — all of the options were devoid of Austin’s original plan and more expensive. Keep in mind it was more expensive ($3000 more) than $4500 for ONE session and Austin recommended I have TWO sessions. The nurses said that the virtual consultation doesn’t paint the full picture and so that’s why I was seeing a $3000 increase in the price of one session. Disappointed and shocked, I initially conceded to get solely my abdomen done for $4500. Upon further thought, I realized what type of scheme LaserAway is running & packed my things and left. They will up the prices in person and hide behind an excuse such as the virtual consultation not painting the full picture. On the way out, Natalia kept asking if I wanted to reschedule or think it over. It became very clear that they receive some sort of commission based on the procedure which made me even more unsettled.In the virtual consultation, I was assured that the price would be $4500 and that I would be taken care of. Austin neglected to mention that the actual price would differ greatly from the virtual consultation price.They said they would need to use different sized applicators on me because of my stature (I’m tall). The intake form captured my height as well as my weight and Austin even commented on my height in the virtual consultation.I sent Austin a text saying I was very upset with this service and marketing scheme. He quickly responded and asked to chat on the phone. He told me he would speak to his regional director to see what could be done. 30 minutes later, he calls again proposing a “middle ground” — namely, they do my entire abdomen (vs the middle abdomen) for $4500 but leave off the flanks. I declined the compromise on principle. I was told I would get my abdomen and flanks done for $4500. That is what I went in for; I didnt want a different procedure.These people will waste your time and try to get you to waste your money. Go literally ANYWHERE else. Shame on LaserAway for such a corrupt business model.

Comment: I was so nervous to go to a Laser Away spot, I don’t really fit the mold of what I expected the clientele to be and also had never done any sort of cosmetic procedures before. I was welcomed in and Ashley at the front desk was so sweet and helpful! All the staff made me feel at home and answered all my silly questions. Michelle did my lips and they are WONDERFUL! She was so nice and talked me thru every step, asking persmission before doing anything. She listened to all my concerns and made sure to take into account my natural lip shape so that it looked as nice as possible. Plumped perfectly, I am getting tons of compliments and can’t wait to go back to my new fav spot!

The person/consultant who set up my appointment was also nice but she was a loan shark. Christina had me sign a high financed fee loan for my procedure which she failed to mentioned but she kept say it was interest free on a primotional period. Other people said they gaf pleasant conversations with her but I found her manipulative. Be careful. They will squeeze you dry.

Comment: The nurses are great and very helpful but the management is awful. They only want to up sell you and do not care about your results. I was told it was my fault that I was not seeing results and that I had to pay more for more treatments of laser hair removal. I requested my medical records and was told they are not sure if they can share that with me. I signed a medical release form and paid for them to be given to me and it’s been over a month and they will not respond to my emails or calls. I have done 6 treatments of laser with them and can honestly say it was a huge mistake and waste of money. Before moving to California I had 2 treatments done at a local private laser center and saw great results but since getting treated at Laseraway I have been extremely disappointed.

They informed me of all the current deals going on and let me chose what I want. Yes they try to upsell but they were not pushy or rude. I went in for my appointment I was seen on time, however I was getting over strep and they suggested I reschedule. My rescheduled appointment went wonderfully. The front desk has been awesome every time I have scheduled appointment and when I purchase any packages. The RNs are thoughtful, make you feel ease and keep you well informed. I definitely will go back again and again.

Comment: Bought a Groupon. First appointment in Union Square was basically a sales appointment which I get. But making me come to an initial consult just to sell me additional stuff is not fair nor right to waste my time. They should at least tell you that it’s going to be a sales appointment not an initial consult to determine if you’re eligible. After you say no to the extra add ons and come back to your next appointment then you are treated like you should not be there. The receptionist was very rude and of no help. I made an appointment to the wrong location (Marina location) and have been trying to reschedule to the correct location (Union Square location where I came for the first appointment) for weeks now.They want me to upgrade (pay extra) so that I can go back to the Union square location. I gave them weeks to fix it and now I’m just upset.

I had IPL on my face, neck and chest and my nurse was an absolute professional and a genuinely nice person as I’m very “jumpy” when the light flashes near my eyes. No, it doesn’t hurt, it’s just a little startling 😳.It’s only been 6 days and already my skin is baby soft and almost all of my sun damage and freckles have dulled, disappeared or dried up and fallen off. I’ll be going back for another treatment just to get rid of any remaining trouble spots. Take THAT hyperpigmentation!
