Comment: At first I gave them a five. They were accommodating and moved quickly. Then it came to running a hot comb through my hair. By the time I left it thought my head was on fire. Made it to the closest store and walked around with a bag of frozen veggies on my head. 2 weeks later you can see just a few of the burns out of many, Im sure. Never going back.As a response to the owner who thinks this is a joke. It is not. I dont owe an explanation for a burned scalp. The person who did my hair does. Sorry that it took 2 years for you to see this. Its unfair to blame people just because you dont know them.

Comment: The place was clean and this was my only visit but I won’t be coming back. Some things I did like (my stylist Carrie did try to work with me) but I didn’t like a few things as well. I feel like I paid way too much for how my hair came out. I tried to get some type of refund of my cash the next day, because I just wasn’t satisfied with my hair, and I was basically hit with a no. Understandable, however I just couldn’t return.

Comment: I was getting my hair done by Carrie for about a year, and I was fairly happy with the result--but then things got VERY bad very fast. I was increasingly unhappy with the way my hair looked--I told her this but nothing changed, she kept doing what she wanted with it and gave me attitude when I spoke up. I frequently left crying in my car (trusting a new hair stylist is terrifying so I didnt want to leave, I just fixed it when I got home). One time I went, I told her I needed new hair for my extensions, and she confirmed over text that she would bring the hair to the appointment. Not only did she have her assistant do my hair that day instead of her, she kept saying she was on her way with the hair, and then she never showed up because she got distracted/forgot. Thankfully the assistant hadnt thrown out my old hair yet or I dont know what I would have done. The final straw--the last time I went--I had an important event and the new hair stylist i finally found was unavailable so I begrudgingly went back to Carrie. I showed her a picture of MY OWN HAIR done the way I wanted it for my event THAT NIGHT, and when she was done my head looked like I was wearing the worst wig youve ever seen. It was awful. I cried, my pictures from the event looked so bad. I called her asking for some sort of refund (because there was no way I was letting her touch my head again) and she refused, so as I was struggling financially I was out a couple of hundred dollars AND had to pay to fix it at another salon that same week. Anyway, whatever you do, do not let Carrie do your hair.

Comment: I contacted this place back in April to schedule an appointment in May 2022 due to my vacation trip. When I called I had to leave a message. Shortly afterwards a lady called me back and asked If I called for an appointment and then told me to text her about what I wanted to have done as if she couldnt have taken the time for me then.. I texted her and stated that I wanted to have a Chrochett hair style per the special on the website. I was scheduled for May 14th and was not given a time so she told me 11am with no further information or comments. I texted her back the week before my appointment to confirm and get more information on the directions and parking but i never heard back. Like how shaddy and unprofessional was that. Never again 😒

Comment: Theres a new sheriff in town and her name is Nanette, or Queen, as I refer to her. She is very business, professional, and the girl can do some hair, I mean for real. Shes creative, independent, and most of all timely. I was there today, in at 10, out at 12. I have a partial weeve that she fried, dyed, laid to the side. And another thing that I love, shes in a private room where you and yo stuff dont have to be in the middle of the jungle. I went in for a walk in - to get a sew inand the stylist doing my hair was very unprofessional - first of all, They do not specialize in doing 4C HAIR AT ALL!He RIPPED my hair out from the ROOTS upon washing and drying my hair. I’m hoping I don’t suffer from permanent hair damage from this, cause my scalp is still sore 3 days later!Upon doing my Sew In he was very heavy handed and had little to no care for my real hair and took no time. He RUSHED through my whole installation from the braids (which were done improperly - 4 different braiding patterns on my head)to even sewing in the tracks, which were done TOO TIGHT right ON MY EDGES and took some of my edges out!I had to get the sew in taken out after 2 days because it was hurting my scalp so bad - the corners of my eyes were going up, had to take ibuprofen,and I could not sleep. Not to mention the unethical installation of this sew in THAT WAS DONE RIGHT ON MY EDGES.DO NOT COME HERE!!!! For being a black hair salon They do NOT know what they’re doing - they do not specialize with natural hair. Especially 4C hair. A SHAME!My scalp is very sore writing this, I have red lumps along my edges.And I am praying I don’t suffer permanent hair damage! SMH.

Comment: Just moved from Philly a few days beforehand, did a Google search for a place to get my touch up relaxer. Had a stable and good stylist back where I came from. Called 10 locations and no appointments were available until the following week. Booked for a touch up relaxer @ $75 with a woman (didn’t catch her name) and arrived on time, I thought the price was reasonable compared to the other quotes I received. When I arrived, was told “ring the bell and tell them you have an appointment with Eric” & so I did.Eric was clearly overbooked running back and forth with multiple clients doing his very best. I sat and waited for a full hour, with an appointment. Another lady comes up when I’m at the wash bowl and asks for my name. I told her and she says “I’ve been waiting for you you’re in my book”. Apparently there’s some internal drama going on, which is typical and find. What isn’t typical and fine is that I as the customer was affected. Eric does a fine job, but then I’m taken to another room where a woman presses my hair out and literally burned my ears 3 times, and my neck twice. I was close to walking out, but was already 3 hours in at this place for a quick touch up relaxer. By the time it was time to pay, I’m told that’ll be $125. I said “I’m sorry, but I was given a price of $75 when I booked my appointment and wrote it down. That is what I am prepared to pay.” Eric accepted it because that is what I was told, but man that made me so uncomfortable. If I knew the correct price, I would’ve probably made an appointment elsewhere and waited for the following week for a place a little closer to my new home. I won’t be back here, to say the least.

I got my cut and silk press my hair is laid beautifully light healthy looking and easy to manage service were great. Comment: I had an appointment today at 1PM that was confirmed early in the week by a Stylist at the salon. I arrive and check in with the receptionist at 1PM and the stylist was confused because she forgot she gave me a 1PM appointment for Saturday. She told me she would be with me in 10 minutes to get my started. About 30 minutes passed and the receptionist comes over and apologizes and her and the owner say they will make sure the stylist does my hair today and that they were just super busy. 1 hour and 30 minutes goes by and the receptionist is whispering with the owner beside me and then comes to say that they cant do my hair today after waiting an hour and a half. Instead of finding a way to get my hair done by the Stylist, the Receptionist found excuses as to why it couldnt be done.It was a very unprofessional experience and Ill be honest it is HARD coming from another state finding a professional black owned hair salon. I went to a Dominican Salon in NY that was very professional and cant find anything like it in LA. For the receptionist to be whispering beside me about the situation was completely inappropriate and they should have told me immediately that they couldnt see me not Oh if you dont mind waiting I will make sure she does your hair today. The stylist never came back when I arrived after she told me she would see me in 10 minutes. Not even to apologize for the confusion etc.

Comment: Karen has been so extremely nice, warm, and helpful throughout our entire experience here at ISIS Hair Salon, my fiancé and I had arrived to Los Angeles yesterday and everything was booked solid throughout town. Karen was the one who answered the phone and also who greeted us as we walked into the salon. My fiancé wanted ocean green hair color, extensions etc and Karen so professionally guided us In The right direction, I’m very happy with how she assisted us and my fiancé is very happy with the results of her hair. Comment: The new employee Simone I think that’s her name. She is the assistant to the owner. She has a nasty attitude, and dress unprofessionally on her first day. Demanding me what to do with my hair, after I told her what I want. After I been abuse physically and emotionally by her. The owner didn’t check her new employee knowing she didn’t audition her before. Abuse me physically so bad. I keep asking her to do my hair the way I wanted and she kept doing it her way, regarding what I keep telling her. Sad part I ask the owner for a discount for the reason I had to buy more hair because her employees was stepping on it with her barefoot, mind that she was not wearing her sandals while she was doing her job. She put her feet on my sister and she tried to kick her . She chop my hair off. I was here since 2pm and I left at 12am. Back to the discount she didn’t give me any. God bless Marla the hero to this story saving the day. She fix my hair and made this tragic story into a beautiful ending. Walk in ask for Marla and make a appointment. She the best!!!!

Last weekend, I made the mistake of going somewhere else for a color, and was upset with the result. I used to pay 40-48 dollars for my hair cut because I have long hair (below shoulder) but they only charge $18 for mens cut. Amazing price and great customer service. Comment: Okay so this place Im just gana say is not legit the owner was real sweet but they definitely dont know what there doing or they just dont care about there work . I went here a day before my birthday with 3 new bundles and a closer and when I called the lady said that I would be able to use my debit card to pay so long story short the guy who did my hair was so thirsty to finish my hair he did an amazing job on braiding but when he sew down my frontal he literally had me looking like I got my hair done with leave out . The whole purpose of the ear to ear closure is to have slaying edges instead I left there looking like Im balding on top of that he asked me to go to atm to pay cash after being told I could use my card so I called the owner and she said I could come back the next day wich I did and it got worst the owner was busy doing another client and then she brings the lace down and then tells him to sew it back on and since I feel like he was lazy he lit literally sew it back were it was and to top it off the owner Instead of making him bring down my lace she takes the clippers and shaved my hairline back further just to glue it down, and it still came up even with the glue because the closure was sewn to far back just to avoid adding the 3rd bundle wich I still have this place is so ridiculous I ended up spending 225$ to look like I was balding on my birthday its sucks and I wouldnt wish anyone to go through that even on a regular day .

Comment: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I scheduled an appointment to have 360 lace wig sewn in for me. Appointment was scheduled for 8:30, didnt get started until 9:30. The owner was very nice but other staff very unprofessional. She washed and conditioned me and put me under the hairdryer. Expressed to her that I had been experiencing some damage to my hair and would at least like my ends trimmed and hair deep conditioned before sew in. I didnt mind paying extra. She got busy and handed me off to a young man I believe was named Eric to braid my hair. He was so unprofessional. Loud Flamboyant and Annoying! He began to braid my hair with no conditioning or even hair grease. No moisture at all! He braided my hair soo tight I swore I thought my hair was breaking as he was braiding. I continued to stop him every few minutes to tell him to lighten up! Then he informed me that the owner wasnt the greatest at lace sew ins and that if I let her do it I wouldnt be able to put my hair in a ponytail. He suggested I let him sew in my lace wig, which by the way cost me $350 alone, so I definitely wanted it to be installed correctly. I agreed to let him do it which I would regret... He didnt even put a cap to protect my hair. He sewed the wig directly onto my hair. There were gaps all around my hairline to the point I still wasnt able to put it into a ponytail. Trying to cut it out of my hair was horrendous. I kept it in only 1 week and had to cut half of my braids off just to get it out! Never again! And the installation took forever. Was there for almost 6 hours. What a waste of time and money!!

Comment: I had my hair done here 10 days ago. I had never had Sown in extensions. I man named Eric did my hair. The experience its self was unique one the price changed drastically from when I called and the man who did my hair would only take cash. I thought that it was odd that when I called and made the appointment no one told me that as well. After my hair was done he walked me to a gas station and had me pull out the cash very odd I thought. The next day I was in so much pain I called and they said it would just take a few days to get used to i was from out of town and I feel that him knowing that started this scam. I went in to show them my hair he was not there and my hair was nothing like one as explained it would be. Now 10 days later after spending a ton of money and not sleeping because my head was on fire I went my friends stylist they were in shock that the extensions were put in that way and so poorly. As they took out my overpriced hair they realized that the braiding was so tight it broke off over half my hair!!!! Yes half my hair or more is now missing and I am traumatized never never never let him touch your hair. I also am contacting the better business bureau to discuss the cash only transaction and the complete prosses I was put threw never in my life have I been this disappointed in a salon one of the worst experiences of my life and do to the lack of hair in spots on my head I will have to wear my hair up or a wig for 6-8 months. Never go here!!!!!!!!!!

I went there and the owner publicly got in a huge fight with one of her employees and denied me service because of the personal drama she had with the employee who was going to do my hair. Im so so disappointed and have never seen anything like that before. I received no apology and had to leave with my hair undone despite the fact they had prior agreed to style me. I advise that everyone go elsewhere.

Comment: Very nice and clean hair salon. They played nice music and the atmosphere was light and inviting during my appointment. My only complaint is that I was extremely overcharged! I went in to get my hair relaxed and styled, which the website says should be $40. Granted, I arrived with larger box braids still in my hair, but had I known that I would be charged an extra $100 (yes, my total was $140!!?) to get them taken out, I would have taken them out myself. I was so disappointed because I had read such wonderful reviews about this hair salon, but Im not so sure I will be going back.
