Comment: Sylva is the absolute best in the practice. I don’t know what her technique is or what equipment she uses, but it works! You’ll notice results after the first visit. The appointments between one and the next become further and further apart. I really appreciate her. You can tell she wants to create great results, rather than have you keep going back. She has a very calm presence her presence. Full of grace and patience. The location is easy to get to,; plenty of parking. The cost is very affordable compared to other places. I couldn’t be happier.

Comment: She works quickly and is very courteous and professional, always checking to make sure you are as comfortable as possible (she also provides ice as you go, which helps a lot!). Scheduling follow-up visits is very easy, and the chair/table is EXTREMELY comfortable! Highly recommend. Electrolysis is never comfortable, but Chez Sylva makes it as easy on you as possible.

If you are also like me, you havent been able to find one that works for you because they are either stuck up and rude, talk down to you while up selling you on products and services you dont need or give you unrealistic expectations, charge you an arm and leg and push for continued services that arent working and in some cases makes your skin worse.AND THEN I FOUND THE MOST AMAZING ESTHETICIAN..Sylva :)She is honestly the most kind, sweet and sincere person you can ever have the pleasure of meeting. You can tell that she cares just as much as you do to see you to your skin care goals!In your consultation, she listens to your concerns about your skin and takes the time to understand what treatments you have tried, what treatments you are currently using and any medications you are taking that might have affect your skin. She gives you a thorough explanation of services and treatments that can gradually lead to better, healthier and clearer skin. She provides you reasonable prices up front. And then she works her MAGIC!I started seeing Sylva for my whiskers (ingrown hairs around cheeks and jawline) and ladystache (upper lip hair) that was becoming unsightly and causing me some insecurity. I was constantly using heavy makeup to cover up the ingrown hair bumps, scarring and the shadow on my upper lip from constant shaving and plucking that lead to skin damage and hyperpigmentation.Sylva came to the rescue and recommended electrolysis for permanent hair removal. She was honest that it would feel like a pinch, but could not only rid me of hair growth permanently but it would also clear up the ingrown hair bumps and scarring and clear up the shadow on my upper lip.After 8 treatments my skin looks AWESOME! I no longer cover my face with thick makeup and feel happy letting my bright skin shine with simply a tinted SPF moisturizer!It feels good to FINALLY be in the care of experienced hands and to be treated with care, kindness and concern.It feels good to have an esthetician that takes the utmost pride in their work and celebrates your beauty achievements along with you!Thank you Sylva! :)

Comment: Sylva operates from a clean, serene little office that has a spa-like feel. Shes as personable as she is knowledgeable and skillful. And its icing on the cake that you can enjoy a nice view of the West Portal skyline through a wide window in the room where she applies treatments.Ive had 4+ electrolysis sessions with her so far. If you know about electrolysis or have ever experienced it, its not a walk in the park no matter where you get it done. Its just the nature of the procedure. But she makes it as comfortable as possible and she is also efficient. Ive already seen a significant difference in my time with her. Plus, her aftercare is top notch. Recommend!

Comment: I started electrolysis with Sylva in October 2022 and have been seeing her weekly since then. Shes a very warm and kind woman. I chose here based on her years of experience, location convenience, and most importantly bc shes an aesthetician and knows skin. When you research electrolysis effectiveness, the technique of the electrologist is really important, so I wanted to go to someone that has had the experience to perfect their craft. Electrolysis is painful, but at least I know its working and Sylva provides ice to help with pain and healing. Sylva also goes the extra mile and puts creams on my face afterwards and uses a device to encourage absorption. She also gives me something to hold during the treatment that sends a pulse (I think to distract or calm me). Ive done electrolysis elsewhere and I can say Sylva outshined that place tenfold and Im much happier coming to her. Also, her offices are clean and thats really important to me. You feel youre in a professional medspa environment.I know Ive found my skincare home and will be coming to see Sylva for facials even after I complete electrolysis.

Comment: Sylva is absolutely amazing!I started going to her for electrolysis years ago. And what a world of difference that has made. She is attentive and so patient. Nobody enjoys chin hairs! And she is great at zapping them. She even very sweetly apologizes to me when my eyes start watering.She has been a godsend for my skin!! I also must confess, im terrible at taking care of my skin and am just lazy with my skincare routine. I started going to her for monthly facials. And wow!! My pores are nearly gone. My skin is so much clearer and overall healthier. She spends time educating me, addressing problem areas and overall making sure I have a great/ relaxing experience. I cannot recommend her or sing her praises enough!! Shes phenomenal! I also adore her as a human too.

Comment: Sylvas facials are completely different from typical treatments and my skin shows it. Ive had people ask if I had a face lift--thats how good her skin care is! Every time I go, Sylva examines my skin, decides what I need, and creates a custom treatment. I highly recommend Sylva based on how much better my skin looks, but its also always a lovely, relaxing experience. Five stars at least!

Comment: I highly recommend Sylva for your skin care services. I have been a loyal customer for at least 10 years and every time I leave her, my skin is glowing and I see noticeable improvements. I never have to tell Sylva what service to do, she gives whatever treatment my skin requires that day and I love that level of personalization. The week after leaving her, I receive so many compliments on my glowing skin and complexion. I see her at least once a month. I also, never bought products from other estheticians before because I thought they were too pushy and generic. Not Sylva. She recommended a few products for my skin (olive complexion), and, sure enough, I loved them. Im now on a whole new skincare routine that actually improves my skin in between visits vs. any over the counter stuff youd find at Sephora. I recommend Sylva to all my family and friends. If you are contemplating a service with her, DO IT. Your skin will thank you!
