Comment: This is unfortunate because I have been a dedicated customer for many years now, but I feel obligated to leave a negative review. I was sold a faulty spray bottle for 6.99(see attached photo) and of course they don’t do returns or exchanges, however I was told I could bring the bottle in for a new one. But once I got back to the store the promise wasn’t honored. The issue I take with this is that I believe the company knew their bottles were faulty—and should have returned my money or tried to make amends as a gesture of good faith—instead, one of the possible owners, came up with multiple reasons not to. It’s a shame because I would rather support a local business—but I will start buying my products at Target or Sally’s from now on—where if you’re sold something that doesn’t work, you’re able to return it.

Comment: I worked here for about 6 months and the experience wasn’t what I expected. The manager Loida, likes to make racist remarks about black customers and coworkers. She also makes comments about customers apart of the LGBT community. From the time I was working there, we hired 4 black females and all have quit within 2 months of them being there. The only thing I looked forward to were the customers and none of them deserve to be treated or talked about the way they do. I do not recommend this store

I was looking for a type of braiding hair and I asked an associate to guide me in the right direction. She annoyingly told me to hold on and then put down the box she was unpacking and told me if you dont see it then we dont have it. Fine. My wife near the front of the store was searching for a hot oil treatment and a DIFFERENT associate told her they got it but its out of stock, its in boxes. Which is it? Im so disappointed to want to support a business like this to be met with such careless and borderline rude customer service. You lost two sales to local residents and will keep our business at CDC beauty supply on University Avenue.

I buy developer and lifting powder (bleach) here, I absolutely love the KISS brand of temp colors they carry and I have gone from black to white to every color in between! The neon KISS colors pack a huge punch and are so bright, love it! And even if your color comes out a full-on disaster, they carry wigs!! A+, good prices and selection.

Comment: They are alright. Good selection. I just dont like the fact that if your clientele is going to be predominantly black why isnt your workers ? For the LONGEST time I have not seen a black worker here. I finally saw one. Just one. It makes no sense these other ethnicities always use black people but never hire them or acknowledge them. Like I said they are just ok. I like their selection their prices can use some adjustments thats why I shop more at Walmart cuz i can get the product cheaper. But some things you cant find and Ill get it here. They always have what I want. But again I dont like to support other races businesses when they dont support us. Cant continue on like this.

Unfortunately the service I received today was mediocre at best and downright rude at worst. The woman who we spoke with did only the bare minimum. She offered no help and made zero attempt to have a friendly demeanor. She was almost annoyed that she had to help us.Im not sure if this is indicative of a poor work environment or if its one bad apple ruining the whole bunch, but its enough to make me reconsider shopping here.As others have said, they offer a wide variety of products and have a good selection of fairly priced wigs. Unfortunately though, the buck stops there.I sincerely hope the management takes action to correct their poor customer service.

Comment: Great place for getting hair niche black hair products. They have a solid variety of braiding, twist, and crochet hair. Great color options in kanekalon braiding hair. I saw a ton of weaving hair but Im not sure about the prices or quality. Lots of BSS brand makeup and super inexpensive lashes. Prices are ok, a little high, but I know they periodically have sales. Service is ok. Some of the staff is really friendly and knowledgeable, but some are very young and a little unprofessional. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS. I have shopped here a few times and seen that I was double charged for products. I actually started to wonder if it was done on purpose. Each time it was less than $10 so it wasnt worth driving back to the store. Its on the main drag so there is no dedicated parking, but if you come on off days and/or off hours (midday weekday, late Sunday) then youll find street parking fairly easily. Overall, not a bad place to shop if you know what you need and dont want to worry about something being in stock.

Barrettes, bobbers, hair ties, beds of all sorts. I gave 4 stars this time because the store is currently being remodeled and products arent as easily accessible, but still there in store nonetheless. Great place.

The people that work here are always polite to me, they give you a military discount as long as you have your ID or are in uniform. Theyve been out of the color I wanted maybe once or twice, but Im not really sure how long they were out of it because I just got a different color. They have a big selection when it comes to like grease and gel. I cant really speak on anything else because I usually only buy braiding hair, grease... And gel. Lol, but its overall a good place.
